I gave up on it for the day, been playing since 9am pst till 11pm pst and not a single sighting :(. same as the last kill a dev event

I'll give you a 10 for the thought. Killing devs is a no brainer for an event.

However making it so damn high a number that is totally impossible to achieve was dumb. I've not seen a single dev myslef and it is the only thing people are complaining about in game now.

Please apply the office beat stick to the guy who thought of the number 50.


Hell - just getting 5 is an achievement at this rate

Technically team kills do count since it stops someone else from killing them and thereby gives u more chance of dropping against them next time and getting the kill.

While I do like the idea of this event I really have to think that it's pointless.

How many thousand players do we have? And how many devs?
Now how big is my chance to actually see a dev ingame?
And even if I see one in a match... then there is still a 50/50 chance that the dev is in my team and therefore no chance for me to kill him.
(Well I can kill him, however this won't give me a reward. :D)

Yay! Killed Jon Cunningham this afternoon Australia time ETA 5.10pm - Solo drop on Alpine. Wasn't expecting to see a Dev. yet alone be the lucky one to get him as he screamed by in a Spider with the rest of my team chasing him from further back.

Love the medallion - it will forever be hanging from my mech which was used to get him.

Made my day! :)

Thanks for the Event and listening to the players. The communications and achieved deadlines recently is bringing back a lot of faith towards the progress and support of the game.

Kinda like the lottery, you must play to win. But playing doesn't mean you will. It's just a fun thing. Enjoy the sighting, if you get one! :ph34r: B)

14 hours not one dev yet. Not to mention if you do get one, he may be on your team! I've seen more dev's in general casual play than on a kill dev weekends.

But hey, its a nice thought, and it harms no one. If you don't see a Dev, yet alone get to kill one ... so.... its not like you lost anything.

At least we can hope they end up on the wrong side of a match maker team, where one team has 8 folks do less than 100 damage. see how much fun it is for them. Though I have screen caps of some devs past performances ... and they would be in the less than 100 category. Some have needed a few matches added together to reach 100 damage. so it maybe lost on them, that its not a good score.

had match's tonight ... one team had 1600 damage the other 4200 (2.5 times the damage).... another 1400, and 3300 (2.25 times the damage)... as you can guess... total roll stomps. there where several more, but these where just horrid. 8 people could not break 100 damage, 9 if you count the 103 damage guy. given we had 3 under 30. gotta stop putting 10 noobs in a match on one side.

I'd like to add that I've mentioned this before but Killing a dev would be a cool achievement to add into the game. Theres no hiding if its in the game permanently.

The matchmaker is supposed to balance the teams by relative skill level. There uncontrollable variables like bad players on both sides with inconsistent performances, good players that elo can not be matched on other side, or test/fun builds that lower expected performance of player. LRMs seem to make a lot of bad players get higher elos as well and so you can't expect good matchups with elo due to all the uncontrollable variables. We really need a much bigger player pool for better results.

It would be nice if devs also drop in European primetime, as i have only seen dev/pgi member in game previously like 3-4 times and mostly in my own team...

I rarely see a dev, unless the NGNG brown nosers are are around. I probably won't see one this weekend either.
