I bought a Timber Wolf, but it's so good that it quickly became boring for me. It's like playing this game in easy mode. I've been paying more attention to my IS 'Mechs lately.

I play both. Why restrict yourself when both are pretty darn fun?

Been away for a while... I left the game months ago after the price announcement for the clan mechs...

So, is anyone "not" using clan mechs and still playing? It seemed to me that the clan mechs would take over the game and anyone not in one would have a tough time....

Anyway, I'm installing it again. I cannot spend $50+ on ONE mech, and can't afford a bundle, so I'm not sure how long I will last...

Your responses are appreciate...thanks.

I bought top tier clan pack.

Spent about a month off and on to level all of my clan mechs to master.

Now I'm back to IS machines, having sold off my non-prime clan mechs for the extra c-bills so I could pick up some IS mechs that I hadn't had the chance to get my hands on up to this point.

I honestly prefer playing in my IS machines, and once in a while I'll pull out my clan mechs, and I just feel... better with the IS machines. Sure I can kill stuff at longer ranges with the clan mechs, but I prefer a good brawl, and IS mechs are the best for brawling.

I bought a timberwolf a la carte but regret it since I play my protector 90%of the time. The projector has been my main ride for the past year.

Clan timber wolf is better then anything the is has but that's about it, the rest isn't too far apart, except for the lights, is lights are much better. Is mediums and clan mediums are kind of tied, the stormcrow is very solid but so is the shadowhawk, i think I would give the is a slight advantage in the assault department.
These are just my opinions however and everyone else probably knows better then I do

Do not on a single clan mech, play is mechs all the time. Changed tactics after clans came out, built my mechs with High alpha damage and as fast as possible and play hide and seek with the clans. No strait up battles, poke fire alpha, back off, reposition repeate. My KDR has actually gone up since the clans came out.

Still play my jenners, firestarters and banshees with regularity. About to dust off my Boarshead for some new experimental builds.

I only use IS mechs. I play for free and the mechs currently available for CBills are all **** imo. I'm waiting for the better clan mechs to come out.

Is Stormcrow out for c-bills yet?

It's actually the best clan medium.

Well... i bought ala carte TBR pack because i wanted to support MWO devs (shame on me, i know... but i like MWO). I elited the Prime version of TBR and then returned to my HBK's, SHD's, GRF's, TDR's and BLR's. Basicaly i use my TBR when i need to farm C-Bills. And yes i enjoy IS mechs more then clan mechs

I tried.
I tried a few times.
I tried with the Kit Fox.
I tried with the Nova.

In the end, it still felt cheesy, sticky, slimy and wrong.
Everything about Clan 'Mechs feels wrong.
Nope, Clan 'Mechs are not for me.

I'm only using IS mechs - for the sole reason of lore, I guess, which may sound like a bit lunatic gameplay wise, but here it goes. Add to that that I am mostly sitting in Awesomes, which somehow are considered to be the lower end of battlemechs. I would say, of course, otherwise, because I'm doing quite well in that thing, but that differs from player to player.

I have 3 Kitfox's and a Nova which I play them off and on but I spend more time in IS mechs. Neither of those clan mechs are anything special but I love the look/sounds of clan weapons. Esp the LRM's. I mean a LRM KF isn't the most effective build, but it's just so pretty. :)

I do plan on picking up the Stormcrow (looks fun) and the Timberwolf, but of course the TW was my first love.

Well Op I've the clan mechs, if you take away 1 Direwolf build and the Timberwolves, then there is Nothing in the clan inventory that's better, than IS and in many cases a lot worse.

Because of the four mentioned mechs, clan took a big weapons nerf that made the others even less competitive, and apparent;y more is on the way.

just as well I only bought them for the pretty and not performance ;)

I'm from the Lyran Comonwealth, our spec forces are well known in history for stealing everything battlemech, I just carried on the tradition.

Having said that I bought them for something to grid, when the real fighting starts I'll be LC all the way

Nope, week 4 in September. That's exactly the one I'm looking for actually, its an upgrade of my successful Dragon concept that I've been using for ages.
