So, is anyone "not" using clan mechs and still playing? It seemed to me that the clan mechs would take over the game and anyone not in one would have a tough time....
Anyway, I'm installing it again. I cannot spend $50+ on ONE mech, and can't afford a bundle, so I'm not sure how long I will last...
Your responses are appreciate...thanks.
I bought top tier clan pack.
Spent about a month off and on to level all of my clan mechs to master.
Now I'm back to IS machines, having sold off my non-prime clan mechs for the extra c-bills so I could pick up some IS mechs that I hadn't had the chance to get my hands on up to this point.
I honestly prefer playing in my IS machines, and once in a while I'll pull out my clan mechs, and I just feel... better with the IS machines. Sure I can kill stuff at longer ranges with the clan mechs, but I prefer a good brawl, and IS mechs are the best for brawling.

Still play my jenners, firestarters and banshees with regularity. About to dust off my Boarshead for some new experimental builds.

Is Stormcrow out for c-bills yet?
It's actually the best clan medium.

I tried a few times.
I tried with the Kit Fox.
I tried with the Nova.
In the end, it still felt cheesy, sticky, slimy and wrong.
Everything about Clan 'Mechs feels wrong.
Nope, Clan 'Mechs are not for me.

I do plan on picking up the Stormcrow (looks fun) and the Timberwolf, but of course the TW was my first love.

Because of the four mentioned mechs, clan took a big weapons nerf that made the others even less competitive, and apparent;y more is on the way.
just as well I only bought them for the pretty and not performance

I'm from the Lyran Comonwealth, our spec forces are well known in history for stealing everything battlemech, I just carried on the tradition.
Having said that I bought them for something to grid, when the real fighting starts I'll be LC all the way

Nope, week 4 in September. That's exactly the one I'm looking for actually, its an upgrade of my successful Dragon concept that I've been using for ages.
