But what we really need now is the Comunity Warfare!!! Please, focus your hard work on this. Once the CW is out, you can do so much more packages like this one...
PS- with stuff like this, you earning your comunity's trust again, so thank you!

Thought I am going pass on buying this Clan pack since Merc units can't use Clan mechs for Community Warfare.

I'm not a huge assault mech fan . . . but . . . it's a King Crab. This lets me hope that one day I'll have the ability to make a 009 Variant with Plasma Rifles and Light AC/5s . . . or at least make something similar out of a 007 (which comes around MUCH sooner). Now THAT's an assault mech I'd love to pilot. In the mean time, 100 ton Dual AC20 action (or maybe even 4 UAC/5s or 6 AC/2s?).
Only one issue . . . maybe. IS mechs could use Split Criticals (as the King Crab did by having lower arm and hand actuators, with AC20 crits in the side torso), but we don't have that in MWO. Will we just get an upper arm and shoulder actuators, with a quirk for extra arm movement? That seems like the most direct solution. If that's the case, I'm perfectly OK with that.
EDIT: Oh, and they should have a quirk for extra protection on the arms (along with arm movement if split crits are not possible), because in lore the King Crab could shut it's "claws" to protect the AC/20s from damage. Just throwing the idea out there.

Though of course, the game certainly doesn't lack a selection of mechs or pricey packages at the moment. Personally I will continue doing what I have been doing which is evaluating the state of the game for a day or two once a month.
More mechs isn't my personal priority with MWO atm though I can understand selling more of them seems to be yours.

This IS further course of action. This is coming on the tails of the Player Feedback Initiative, several challenges offering other free stuff, CWp1 actually happening and working surprisingly well, (surprisingly) no reason to doubt CWp2 arriving as predicted, and very many really great patches that have resolved lots of issues and brought very good stuff overall.
This whole year has been extremely positive. Yes, hitreg is still sketchy, but that's a difficult nut to crack. It's not like making a new mech (invest x hours of artist+dev time, done), and adding more people to a bug hunt doesn't always (or even usually) help. It's simply a matter of time to get it fixed.
Everyone wants it fixed. Me, you, PGI.
I honestly think it's time people stopped with the "Well, this is a good gesture, but what happens going forwards?" People have been saying that, and things like it, all year. I get it that PGI's track record previously was very poor, but they've been going strong for 6+ months. Give em a break. Try just saying thanks?

Weapon Bay Doors, for the arms - work exactly like the weapon bay doors on the Catapult, Centurion, Stalker, etc. 10% damage reduction while closed.
Done.

I just want to say GREATEST GAME SINCE YEARS, and i play since 2 years. The presents you made to the playerbase in the past is more then generous and laudable seeing
the fact that you give away hard currency.
The presents to the active players of MWO is a sign that you cant be that money greedy
as some suspects call you, i woud go that far to even call pgi some nobel geniuses
that deserves to get rich on the way to create THE robot simulation free2play title in 2014.
So keep up the good work, stay positive and keep handleing the hole Mech warfare thing as you do since start of the project, NEW, IMPRESSIVE, UNIQUE.
A STILL IMPRESSED AND TRULY ENTERTAINED EVERYDAY USER

/engage rant
But using the hero version of the ever popular Mad Dog as the reward for people who already have everything/lure for those that don't, is quite frankly in very bad taste. $370 is a crazy amount of money to expect someone to put out for a single mech if the Mad Dog is all that you are after, and the cbill bonus version of such an iconic mech is obviously something genuinely desirable. Meh and humbug, and meh, and also, four months from pre-release to release? I thought you were done with those kind of time scales.
Many of us saw this coming when Russ teased wave 2 last week of course. The vulture was the logical reward mech precisely because it was so desirable. What other mech stood a chance of attracting anybody to picking up the old clan pack? And perhaps more importantly, ensure that as many current clan pack buyers pick up the full wave 2 pack as well? I guess it's just that your recent change of form had given me hope that you would choose another path.
Now clearly I am suffering from a bad case of sour grapes, and some might say, bitter envy. At least I am aware of it, and it's not without cause. The Vulture is my favourite mech of all time and I have been looking forward to it since the moment I heard of this MWO game that might be being made, but paying that much $$$ for it is just impossible. Free mechs are awesome and all but as I no longer play IS they mean nothing to me, and all I will be seeing on reward day is all the people piloting my favourite mech four months before I do, and in a cbill bonus version I will never own. Humbug, and more humbug. And q_q

So basically well done for the reward scheme. It's a great gift to the community and a real sign that you are turning things around. It's way more inclusive than I expected and will send waves of positive MWO chatter across the interwebs.
But damn you for the Vulture deal. Damn you right in the ear.
It's too bad that the (I) variant will be locked up in the purchase of both clan packages. But look at the Phoenix mechs. They're slowly getting heroes with the cbill bonuses we covet. But if they put up the Loki instead there would be cries of PTW for months.
