The A La Carte system was built this way intentionally. If you buy 6 A La Carte Mechs in 6 different transactions they will be $55 each. If you buy 6 within 1 transaction, then you get the discount. The main purpose behind this is to encourage players to buy a package rather than A La Carte.[/color]

Normally I would gladly refund your purchase so you can select the extra Mech and get that discount, however the payment method used prevents this solution unfortunately.[/color]

That's a pretty straightforward answer. We can't help you because you used a payment method that can't be refunded.

What they're doing NOW, note now, not 3 months ago, is rebuilding the system to allow you to "upgrade" without getting a refund on prior packages. How this will work is not completely known, but I'd imagine if you blew 110 on ala carte you'll be getting the Masakari package for 130.

So, no, you're not SOL

What we're doing to fix this:

  This way, you'll just pay the difference between the Masakari and the A La Carte collection you have, if you want to upgrade.

I won't have this available right away but the plan is soon.




This is primarily of interest to people who bought a large number of A La Carte Mechs and want to qualify for the Mad Dog in addition to all of the other free mechs we're giving out.

I wonder if PGI would be more willing to swap my gold Adder for a gold... Something else that hasn't sold out yet, or if the actual system doesn't allow it. I e-mailed support asking if I could at one point, they just sort of said "we already got your money, so no"... On the other hand, when I asked to upgrade my masakari package, in under 24 hours they were just like "here's your $240 back, NOW GO BUY IT!!!1one". Should've saved those e-mails heh.

Probably wouldn't change it anyways, though I just might be willing to swap it out for a Stormcrow or Nova.

Hell, they should let you trade in your gold (mech here) for a gold version of one of those new ones. EDIT: If you buy the appropriate pack. Obviously you'd qualify for a mad dog if you bought the man-o-war package, in addition to the other four.

You must suck at math. How does Clan package 1 ($240) plus Clan package 2 ($120) equal $535? To me that equals $360... AND that is only if you want it immediately... Otherwise wait a few months and you can buy with MC or C Bills.

If you buy each mech individually through A-la-cart you pay more than if you buy a pack or multiple mechs. (you get a discount for buying more than one at a time)
