The devs can use this excuse to give some love to all atlas modifying the standard color scheme, then it can match the classic one.

Also, maybe a toggle key for glowing eyes, or old variants bufs, maybe quirks?

Yes, but short of a new Hero, the version you want, does not exist.

I would seriously like a variant of Atlas with Ballistic on each side torso, to compensate for the other variants tho it would need a handicap for the AC advantage. Reduced Engine size would allow more weight for the guns but make it slower, would be on DW's page in therm of firepower, armor and speed so would only lack range.

This, check bottom of the page, should have all the info you need, also the golden mechs come with the full 240 Warhawk package, from there its up to you.

P.S. DO NOT BUY the Uller and Black Hawk a la carte! These 2 are much better bought with the regular packs.

So a $30 Uller (Kit-Fox) package would qualify? Are the mech bays included? 4 mechs + bays (?) for less than the price of Boar's Head. Sounds pretty decent value.

I gave up hope of seeing one when they introduced the Boar's Head.

no...i think you have to PRE-ORDER. so wait until clan pack 2 is up for sale and pre-order the 30 dollar Koshi (which looks to be more fun than the cutefox anyway) to get the fatlas-s

But yes for 30 dollars you'd get 1 prime (with 30% boost) 2 alts of the Koshi, and then the free AS7-S (with 30%boost)

at least that is my understanding
and if you haven't bought MC before, make sure to pick up the 7 dollar MC pack for a free Cent-AH(with 30% boost)

so 37 dollars buys you 5 mechs, 3 of which will be effectively "hero" mechs. score....

I'm not sure why people think it's gonna have split missile locations. To my knowledge, PGI has never altered the location of a hardpoint for the game.
This means that the AS7-S will have:

RA: 1E
RT: 1B
CT: 2E
LT: 4M
LA: 1E

Pre-Sale Reward
This reward is for players who have purchased any pre-sale program package. This includes any level of Founders, Phoenix, Clan Invasion Wave1 and 2 packages, or a la carte mechs. Eligible players will receive an exclusive new Atlas variant - the AS7-S - decked out with a custom paint job, along with a 30% C-bill Bonus and a free Mechbay. This custom AS7-S variant will only be available through our Pre-Sale Reward program and will be injected into eligible accounts on October 21st. You have until Sept 23rd at 10:00 am PDT to earn the Pre-Sale Reward. Standard versions of this new variant will be available for C-Bills at a future date to be determined.

Judging by this either you get a full package at either 240$ or 120$ or you grab 1 a la carte ( my guess is any of them), so in the end i m not sure buying anything under the Direwolf/ Daishi would qualify you.

My advice would be to go a la carte and invest in one of the big guys that would cost a fortune to buy in c-bills, Dire Wolf and Timber Wolf are by far the best choices if you go a la carte.

its called the "PRE-SALE REWARD" so buying the ones that have been out for a while doesn't count (im not 100% on this but i wouldnt buy a uller, expecting to get an atlas out of the deal, Koshi, yes, Uller, no)

also anything is considered a pack, even if its just the lowball package for 30

What bothers me is also the "Pre-sale" words but they also mention that you have until Sept 23rd to qualify. Its a "ish" situation because it doesnt tell you if the current a la carte purchase are good for the deal or if they will release the second clan pack before the 23rd...

sorta leap-frogging quotes here....

but they said the second clan pack will be open for sale the 17th, so just shy of a week to make your mind up.

I guess the safest would be to wait for the second pack to come out and pre-order from it, at least there is no wordplay and its a pack/ a la carte purchase.

I would stick to this plan if i wanted the qualification for the gift Atlas.

Correct. The layout is mandated by the default weapons' configuration, and won't change significantly. Having 4 missiles, 4 energy, and a ballistic slot capable of mounting an AC/20 will meet the standards for what an Atlas is in MWO, even if all 4 missile hardpoints are located in one torso. Considering this is going to be the first reward Assault mech, I don't see them stumbling over themselves to make it overcapable.

Best to only expect what comes with it. Maybe we might see dual AMS, but don't count on that at all. Everything else would put it at odds with the other Atlas models already in the game.

The two missile HP on this mech are rear facing. They have to be moved to the front. Where they are moved is entirely up to them. Hence, the speculation.
