CTF-4X. The one Heavy which I will never pilot again.

I ran mine like this: lots of fun once you get it elited.

Jagermech

I find it an ugly and uninspiring mech.

Last night, one of my Teammates had a Locust and did 6 kills and over 700 damage. My hat is off in awe. For me, it is not that it is so squishy... but...

I can't get over how hard it is to see out of the thing. PGI decided to make it a really Herculean challenge, and said, not only will you die if someone looks at you, but you won't be able to see it coming either!

Yes for most it has to be the Locust, nope, not going to drive that death trap.

ATLAS AS7-RS
I simply couldnt find a good build for me. Tried few combinations, at the end had to play with lrm20, ac10 and 2ll (i think) just to get enogh xp to unlock the master tier so i can master the ddc and d variants. Then sold it.

Catapult. If I'm piloting it, I can't get a lock long enough to launch a significant LRM barrage. If I'm against one, LRMs FOR DAYS.

In my entire time playing Mechwarrior Online, i have sold two mechs EVER.

The HBK-4SP
The CTF-4X

The HBK-4SP I sold because it lost the precision and power of the AC 20 in exchange for a mere two missile hardpoints. Ultimately I simply brought dual PPC's until I mastered and sold it. I just couldn't find a build that I was remotely successful with.

The CTF-4X, however, is my all-time least favorite mech in Mechwarrior Online ever. I will NEVER play this mech again. Quad UNDERSLUNG ballstics practically guarantee your shots are going into the hillside. Coming with a STD 210 engine ensures you lack the weight or the speed (thanks to engine caps) to ever excel at anything. Single missile hardpoint in the head is a joke, rocking the SRM 4 or the LRM 5 (completely destroyed by AMS of course). The CT can bring dual mlas, but comes with a LLas standard. The Bulky appearance, wide, easily hit torsos, and poor hardpoint placement compared to the Muromets (who has jump jets), combined with everything else I listed made this mech a pure deathtrap. When I sold the CTF-4X I swapped to Jagermechs and NEVER went back.

I'm having trouble finding use of plenty of mechs, but I will say this, in the past two months, I've seen only one Cicada - it was mine, collecting dust in its hanger. I took it out for a spin, got wrecked in two minutes, which is pretty fast, even for somebody who sucks like myself.

I still run both (yes) of my 3Ms and I actually feel like I've been seeing more CDAs lately. I was in a match where the other team had three the other night (X-5, 3M and <shudder> 3C)

Stock Commando 1B - Due to saving up money for the Catapult in closed beta, I didn't have the money to spend on maxing out the commando since I only got it to look at the mech lab (and I'm pretty sure smurfy didn't exist at the time). Running 97km when Jenners were very common, and they were players that played longer than I have, but with more armor, more speed and more firepower (kinda like how the IS felt when they first encountered Clan mechs).
Now I may pick them up again later when I have a faster computer (I am on a laptop afterall), since it can barely handle mechs that go 120kph, and if I went 150kph my frames start going crazy. Afterall, I do love a challenge (in fact Dragon is one of my favorites, and that's one of the main reasons), just not when I'm learning a game.

Cataphract 4X - The heavy version of the dire wolf when it comes to being the face melter, and had the craziest DPS before other mechs came out. 4 ac/5 or 3ac/5 + 1 large laser. Every single match I went in with that build I always had a minimum of 500 damage and at least 2 kills without even trying. It is fun, but I hate it because it's playstyle feels so brainless and easy, like playing a Heavy in Pug matches in TF2 or something. Even if it is a glass cannon mech due to it's slow movement, and the fact it has to stare at it's opponents. Let's just say that the Cataphract 4x made me worse at the game for a bit, so I had to re-learn proper mechs since the 4X is basically W+M1 because you'd kill people usually before they could hurt you much if at all. That was a long time ago and now more bursty damage mechs are out so I'm not sure if that's the case.

Cataphract 1X and 2X - While 4X is fun to use, the 1X and 2X, I just didn't like their loadouts at the time due to how alpha/burst damage driven MWO was (though I'll have to try them again sometime). I've mastered them already, and I was never a fan of the Cataphract's design aside from the low arms (but that's bad gameplay wise, but it still looks good like most mech designs). It's so annoying to have to expose soo much of your body to do damage, it just felt so suicidal.

Atlas (excluding Atlas K and D-DC, cause ECM makes people swarm around you, and at the time when I used Double AMS LRM boats had a hard time killing me and my allies and they'd focus me cause i was an Atlas instead of attacking an ally) - My biggest complaint is YOU'RE TOO SLOW! Second complaint is that it rather lacks weapons for it's tonnage (blame standard engine), and you can get similar weapons loadout with much lighter mechs. I love it otherwise (and in previous games I hated it's design) but gosh, I can't stand being so slow.

Wolverine 6K - It lacks Missiles (the reason why I like the chassis in the first place), It puts all it's weapons into one place (right arm), and it has no Jumpjets (also one of the main reasons why I like the chassis). Also, Griffins are prettier than Wolverines and they do similar things (things that I want that is).

Catapult K2 - No jumpjets, no missiles? THIS ISN'T A CATAPULT! WHAT KIND OF BASTARDIZATION IS THIS!?!?!? (That's really the only reason why I hate it, Double gauss/PPC is fun, and it does look neat)

Thunder Bolt - Too many matches on Alpine peaks, Too many weapons in the torsos, sucks not being able to shoot someone when they can shoot you.

The only mech I have ever sold outof complete disdane and disgust was the HBK with the missile pod on its shoulder. I think that is the J variant. I love my other hunchies but that one I just couldn't make work.
