Stock Commando 1B - Due to saving up money for the Catapult in closed beta, I didn't have the money to spend on maxing out the commando since I only got it to look at the mech lab (and I'm pretty sure smurfy didn't exist at the time). Running 97km when Jenners were very common, and they were players that played longer than I have, but with more armor, more speed and more firepower (kinda like how the IS felt when they first encountered Clan mechs).
Now I may pick them up again later when I have a faster computer (I am on a laptop afterall), since it can barely handle mechs that go 120kph, and if I went 150kph my frames start going crazy. Afterall, I do love a challenge (in fact Dragon is one of my favorites, and that's one of the main reasons), just not when I'm learning a game.
Cataphract 4X - The heavy version of the dire wolf when it comes to being the face melter, and had the craziest DPS before other mechs came out. 4 ac/5 or 3ac/5 + 1 large laser. Every single match I went in with that build I always had a minimum of 500 damage and at least 2 kills without even trying. It is fun, but I hate it because it's playstyle feels so brainless and easy, like playing a Heavy in Pug matches in TF2 or something. Even if it is a glass cannon mech due to it's slow movement, and the fact it has to stare at it's opponents. Let's just say that the Cataphract 4x made me worse at the game for a bit, so I had to re-learn proper mechs since the 4X is basically W+M1 because you'd kill people usually before they could hurt you much if at all. That was a long time ago and now more bursty damage mechs are out so I'm not sure if that's the case.
Cataphract 1X and 2X - While 4X is fun to use, the 1X and 2X, I just didn't like their loadouts at the time due to how alpha/burst damage driven MWO was (though I'll have to try them again sometime). I've mastered them already, and I was never a fan of the Cataphract's design aside from the low arms (but that's bad gameplay wise, but it still looks good like most mech designs). It's so annoying to have to expose soo much of your body to do damage, it just felt so suicidal.
Atlas (excluding Atlas K and D-DC, cause ECM makes people swarm around you, and at the time when I used Double AMS LRM boats had a hard time killing me and my allies and they'd focus me cause i was an Atlas instead of attacking an ally) - My biggest complaint is YOU'RE TOO SLOW! Second complaint is that it rather lacks weapons for it's tonnage (blame standard engine), and you can get similar weapons loadout with much lighter mechs. I love it otherwise (and in previous games I hated it's design) but gosh, I can't stand being so slow.
Wolverine 6K - It lacks Missiles (the reason why I like the chassis in the first place), It puts all it's weapons into one place (right arm), and it has no Jumpjets (also one of the main reasons why I like the chassis). Also, Griffins are prettier than Wolverines and they do similar things (things that I want that is).
Catapult K2 - No jumpjets, no missiles? THIS ISN'T A CATAPULT! WHAT KIND OF BASTARDIZATION IS THIS!?!?!? (That's really the only reason why I hate it, Double gauss/PPC is fun, and it does look neat)
Thunder Bolt - Too many matches on Alpine peaks, Too many weapons in the torsos, sucks not being able to shoot someone when they can shoot you.
