I admit fully - it is a disease.
Yep. At the time I had no idea what game was going to come out of this. I just remember the trailer that came out YEARS ago with the guy getting killed by the Atlas and then some legal mumbo jumbo that led Microsoft to kill the project. When I heard someone else was taking it over and needed money I jumped in at the highest level just hoping to do my part in making sure it was as good as it could be. I love this franchise and have since 1995.

Same idea as those pubs where you drink so many different beers and get your name on the wall or a mug or t-shirt or some such.
Some people think that is really a lot of money for the mug/t-shirt - others realize they'd be buying the beer anyway, so enjoy the free thing for what it is.

You can build a King Crab with either a STD or XL engine, which can mount 2 AC20s (or two gauss) and 2 PPCs. STD300 will fit that with Endo, or remove endo and upgrade to an XL350 to move 62.
It also has up to 2 missile slots. It doesn't have many hardpoints; it just has big guns.

I like big guns.

Clanbuster variant 2x Ac/20 3x Srm 6 with artemis and 1x LL as back up weapon... aannd did i mention a normal dual Ac/20 jager can alpha 2-3 times without overheat with 10 DHS? bet the King Crab can put a few more to deal with the weapons.
Surely the DW may win on a straight on Dps fight but if the King crab Alpha twice properly the DW it's toast since the King crab would be able to carry a bigger engine and be way more nimble despite being an XL.

I don't get a free Crab....but I'm contemplating it.
There's two Clan Wave 2 mechs that should be decent, on top of the Vulture which should be a ridiculous Brawler.
Koshi has a hardwired BAP, and the Gargoyle has your SHD's average tonnage, all arm mounted.
Other two seem decent, though. Crab, of course, should wreck face under the right circumstances...but I don't think it beats the WubShee.
