Books involve heavy use of artistic license to tell a story; they should not be used as rules reference guides (overheating a Locust? Really?).

Also, we're playing a game with giant bipedal war machines. Physics has no place here.

you saying BT has less physics then those animes with mechs the size off a russian submarine floating around with air ice scates?

Seeing as how some of the early mechanical designs were lifted from one where the titular mecha used aircraft carriers for forearms...

Berserker. A 100-ton mech with 2xLPL, 1xERPPC, an AMS, an ECM, a head mounted flamer, 400XL with MASC (allows bursts of over 80 kph), and a 7-ton hatchet. Because a hatchet wielding, fire-breathing, monstrosity that doesn't show up on radar (and ignores missiles) coming at you with that kind of speed is scarey.

I think this pictured does the mech more "justice" BRZ-A3 Berserker "Hesperus Harlequin"

As far as KGC goes lets hope it will not have "Loki" / Hellbringer hit box issues

as for the XL engine, it all depends of the MAX engine rating it will be allowed. 300xl's probably not worth it, but a 400xl, that would make me think long and hard about non-meta builds for it. also its weapon hardpoints would play a big part.

speaking of the KCG, will there be at least 3 variants of the KCG to allow mastering that big beast?

To be fair I would not bet on it since the Atlas and the Centurion loyalty reward mechs did not come with standard variants. But ofcourse the KGC will have regular variants released at some point so you can master it.

You can say that...

But difference between KGC and CN9 and AS7 is that those 2 mechs already had other variants in the game for over a year.
Would kinda be silly if they release a full set off mechs that you already owned. Just for say buying 1 dollar of MC or a 20 dollar pre order pack.

The KGC on the other hand has no variants in game atm. Ontop of that but instead of being worth 1 dollar or 20 dollars it is worth 80 dollars + and just look at the mad dog.

That mech also came for the same reason but for clans and it came with the prime invasion variant and 2 others.

Well, with the variants released, I would say that I am putting an XL 300 on the 000(L) so I can cram as much dakka down the enemies gullets as I can. It is going to be glorious! Hell I will even lead a push in an XL KGC-000(L). Hard to target my ST's when your mech is having a seizure from AC rounds hammering it.

Having said that, I will probally stick to a standard for both the 0000 and the 000B.

Even on the 000B, you should be able to squeeze on 4 UAC5's with a standard 100.

Standard 100? Holy crap, you're asking to get circle-strafed by Stalkers and Dire Wolves, you'll move at 16.8 kph.

Still slow, but at least people have gotten used to Dires moving that slow, so your less likely to get abandoned.

Well 4UAC5 on the 000(L) with a UAC5 mod, you can put out like 30 DPS, for as long as your guns don't jam anyways. You can strip the CT of an atlas in less than 4 seconds O.o

Quad UAC 5 is like 17 max DPS and about 10 sustained DPS tho. So no, it will take the UAC one quite a while.

I think I am going to be slightly suicidal in the beginning with my KGC's.
I'll keep STD engines in 2 of them, but one chassis (Haven't decided which one yet) is going to get the Biggest XL I can fit (360 I think) and I'm going to try the All or nothing for the PUGS.
So far I am finding that that works for specific chassis. I want to see if with all the theorycrafting aside this beast can actually do it.

Well the UAC5 fires at a rate of 1.66 With the cooldown mech quirk of 7.5% and the coldown mod at 12%, your looking at a fire rate of 1.34 seconds.
Cut that time in half because of the double tapping ability, Your now down to .67 seconds per shot, times 4 UAC5's.

That equals 20 damage every .67 seconds, or 29.85 damage per second. Once again, for as long as the guns don't jam.

BUT having said that. I am going to try and cram on either 1-LBX10/2-AC5/3-AC2 or 4AC5/2AC2 or 1-LBX10/1AC-10/1AC5/2AC2

Though more realistically it will probably be more like 3AC5/3AC2 or 4UAC5
