This 25 tonner, which is slower than the Clan's 45 tonner, will have 4 tons of hardwired equipment, and 6.5 tons of pod space once you max out the armour.

6 JJs accounts for 3 tons, and then a hardwired Active Probe is located in the head, taking a full ton from the potential pod space, over 10%.

This is on top of requiring 3 external DHS, which means it will never have the same dissipation or heat capacity of a 250+ rated mech, and no torso mounted weapons.

Should PGI allow the AP to be removed? I asked on Twitter, but I've gotten no response.

7.5 tons vs 6.5 tons won't be much, but every bit helps on a 25 ton mech.

I think PGI should consider to make the AP removable. On the other hand...I´m sure they already tested a lot.
Let´s see, how it´ll turn out when the mech is released. I´d prefer a removable device, too

Doesn't bother me in the slightest, Active Probes are in all of my Clan mechs anyways, 'cause well **** ECM!

Note: I love working under an ECM sheild for my my Adders, War Hawk and Timber Wolf...

Let's see what one can put in 6.5 tons.

3 CERML + 2 CSRM4 + 1.5 ton SRM ammo which equals to 19 volley.

Sounds reasonable for 25 ton mech.

Clan mechs can't remove equipment from their base con figs.

What makes you think the JJs are locked in? Did it say that somewhere, because the clan light we have right now has removeable JJ's. Or are you basing it off of every variant having 6 making it smilar to the Nova where all of its variants have 5... Just wondering :)

The uller doesn't have jump jets fixed in its base configuration. Take the Thor, it does, and the jump jets are not removable.

I'm going to try to make it work. I completely agree with Bandito that because of only 7 DHS located in the Engine, one should strongly consider SRMs as your 'Punch' weapon. I had come up with a similar loadout with a bit less ammo and SRM10 total.

As a SJ, I'm excited for the challenge. This is gonna be my first 25 ton mech. But hey, if I can make the Locust work (in some games, some of the time) then a Myst Lynx is going to be a sweet upgrade.

1.5 tons isn't quite enough I would think...then again, I don't use 25 tonners. I guess they wouldn't last too long.

If you take the Magic Jesus Box, you can have 2E, or 2M+1E.

Same answer as above, Lore. Nova and Summoner have the same thing.

And yes, according to TT sources, both Jump Jets and Active Probe are fixed equipment on this bad boy. (TRO 3050U as the source).

Hardwired core means hardwired core.

Everyone want san exception for their pet mech.

NO.

Ok. I was under the impression only those items that said 'fixed' was hard wired, but I suppose every white item is fixed, and we can only change the orange ones.

When you say clan mechs cannot remove equipment, that's not the same for every clan mech. For instance, Kit Fox S has 6 jump jets in it's base config, but all of them can be removed.

Edit: I suppose you know this because of lore as people have now stated. Too bad for the Mist Lynx I guess...

No, you still get 2 Clan SSRM2s + 1.5 tons ammo and 3 CERMLs = a devastating 25 ton mech minus how slow it is. Thats 29 firepower on a 25 ton mech which is QUITE respectable.

What I want to know is why is it 113 KPH on MWO but 118 KPH on Sarna? That 6 KPH could make a difference.

6KPH after Tweak...

Kit fox uses omni JJs. Myst Lynx are hardwired in all configs.

Same reason the 86 TT category is 81/89. You can't do half hexes in TT, so it was rounded up. In MWO, there isn't a need to round.

Does it SAY it's fixed? We don't have fixed TCs, or fixed AMS, or fixed ECM

It says absolutely nothing on the subject.

Heatsinks and JJs are hardwired, so there's no reason they won't stick to the Lore and keep the AP hardwired. No reason to do it either.

We'll see if we get an official response.

Not quite true. I haven't seen a fixed targeting computer yet.
