$80 IS pack is fine imo.
Toss in a Mauler as the top Assault and tbfh it would be a pretty good deal.

I have no idea how many players consider the King Crab their favourite, but it being an assault and with cred bonus it could be a good earner.
If they come out with dropship mode for the faction wars(cant wait till its in), thats for 4 mechs and their modules players have to prep. TONS of creds.
Although I have to say again, I am saving my mc for decals and a Wolverine Hero. No rush for either but the decals will be awsome.

If players would like to buy some "unique" IS package instead of clans because they don't want clans, then let them.
Also technically speaking:
For the price of a package you normally get more "value"; meaning more mechs for you're buck.
I'm sure that buying all the mechs with MC from my Overlord package would cost me more.
If people are happy with the mechs they receive, and rather take the shortcut of just buying them for real cash then that's fine.
Again that's In MC of course, not arguing about free C-Bills here, are we?
So all together you "might" spent 80$ on 4 mechs or so, and you get one for free.
That's with variants.
So that's 16 mechs.
All together most likely more in MC buying them as single items than an 80$ package.
If you're happy with the mechs.

Sure, it sucks.
So does the Locust.
Speed is Life.
The Locust can move at 170 kph and is fairly small. Same with the Spider, thin and lanky. The Urbanmech is large and round. Where several shots might miss other Light mechs due to these reasons they'll likely hit the Urbanmech.
The only viable way for the Urbanmech to work is to power down and hide, wait for someone to walk past, power up, fire and then hope to hell they can get away....and given that they can only move as fast as a Direwolf, that's not too bloody likely...and given that JJs are seriously nerfed, they're not going to help much either.
The Urbanmech is going to be fun for the people piloting it and a serious detriment to the rest of the team that it's on.

No need to re-release packs, no need to rush a new pack.
This is aklso sensible idea. I'd like to be able to sell ALL the clan mechs I got on my Is account and just keep the crab. I run a 2nd account, I bought the full masakari pack on "faith" and I don't really enjoy the clan mechs much. If the only way to get the crab is to buy a clan pack, I would but only if I could sell them all and get at least the cbills for them.
I personally have little issue with the whole thing, excepting the attitude pushed by people about the PP etc. A 2nd way to egt the crab would be appreciated, hence why I suggested my charity idea.
The "tough you can't have what we have/are gonna get, we are special" line isn't really appropriate or acceptable. I bought my clan pack on"faith," the limited time offer that is STILL going on even as wave 2 is on sale lol. You can still buy the pack even though half the mechs you can have for cbills, except the difference here is my ego isn't tied to my purchase:) I'm genuinely happy for each person that manages to get a pack. I got my paints/vanity items etc and they mean nothing. I'm not special nor did I "earn" anything by paying out money.
I really appreciate your communication and attitude towards this Russ, respectful and appropriate, thank you.

Some people comment about restarting Phoenix, to which it seems most people don't care. I don't either,
Some people have mentioned it'd be a bad thing to restart founders.... I'm agaisnt that too, no new founders, but what about a compromise for existing Blue (Veteran) and Orange (Elite) founders...
I'm an Elite founder, been playing since June 2012, I just want the ability to pay the extra money to top mine to Yellow (Legendary) .. what would that cost ... I think it jumped from $60 to $120, so a difference of $60 (correct me if I am wrong, pls)? I'll get my 3 other Founders mechs, and get the free King Crab.
It's a win win I think, PGI gets new money from me, doesn't even have to produce anything new. All they have to do is inject 3 new Founders mechs into my mech bay to join my Atlas D(F), change my forum tag, and boom, done. The database should then be smart enough to queue me up for King Crab on its injection day.
Thoughts?

Please do not bring back phoenix pack. And don’t even think about Founder’s. There’s a lot of limited content within founders that should remain strictly for actual founders (tags, special mech geometry, credits, closed beta access, mc) and not to mention it being exclusive to founders 2.5 years ago. It would feel insulting to the group if you brought it back only to appease the bunch of people who want to score a free mech with a purchase. The truth is that they don’t care what package it is they buy, as long as they get a king crab out of it. So please hold some form of respect for those who have been here for a long time, who didn’t need a “free mech” to convince them to buy a package, and never think about resurrecting any packages lest you insult long standing and faithful customers only to make greedy ones happy.
Thanks for listening to us Russ.
I feel kind of embarrassed that even though you are appreciating the customers that have been here for a while and the new active users, there are still people who feel as though what you’re doing is not good enough. However, you’re doing a fantastic job handling the issue.

Being I've set up a Spider Urbie (as have others), and it works surprisingly well.
Especially supporting other mechs.
You're a small target with a big gun, sniping or moving in and hitting targets of oppurtunity.
People don't expect it and will generally focus on other, bigger targets.

That's because no one expects it, hence, surprise. People see a spider on the loading screen and they expect ECM & a couple of MPLs or an ER LL & 4 MGs, not an AC/10 going 60 kph hitting from where they don't expect.
Once the Urbanmech is in game people will pay attention and it'll have a week, maybe two. Then everyone will know where and when to expect it, and be looking for it, so, no surprise and then everyone will go back to playing other mechs.
Back to the OP, I still say that people that bought non-Overlord levels of the Phoenix pack should have the option to upgrade, just like the people that bought the A La Carte Clan packs are upgrading to standard Clan packages.

I think what you stated here is the half the problem. For some reason there are a select group of players that are under the impression that only Top Tier Rewards owners are the only ones getting a King Crab ever. Except KC is going on sale for for MC the same day as as the reward KC injection, then going on sale for C-bills after.

that being said, i would love to see a new IS package come out... (King Crab, 70/75 Heavy, Assassin, 30/35 light) would be my preferences... or possibly something in the heavy class with ECM (since there are none)..
heck.. since the medium class is pretty filled out... and IS heavys need some love... why not do 3 mechs instead of 4, and do King Crab, 70 ton, 75 ton... make it $30/$55/$75... not only would this lessen the Dev impact, it would also shore up a weak spot in the IS mechs..
Just please no more 60-65 ton heavies... we have lots of those... call it something like IS Heavy Reinforcements
