I don't think bringing the Founders package is viable but I'd be okay with the Phoenix one being made available. I bought both back when.

I am actually pretty appreciative for all the stuff they are doing for this anniversary.

you forget ComGuards had mechs on par with the clans at tukkayid and weapons also. So if we get a ComGuard pack we need a way to make the mechs on par with clan mechs might be breaking lore. But only the ComGuard mechs should be able to fit clan tech into their chassis ComGuard pack called Focht's Guardians ftw to qualify for the King Crab mech

They weren't really on par with clan mechs. They simply had Star League tech, in other words stuff like Inner Sphere ER lasers and PPCs, Ultra and LBX ACs etc. The stuff our mechs are sporting today in MWO. Keep in mind that the vast majority of IS mechs used by mercs and House armies were still sporting 3025 era tech still. Yes, new variants with regained tech were starting to come out, but by far most were still technologically at the level from when all this fancy new stuff made possible by the Helm Memory Core was considered lostech.

Unfortunately, I see the words they choose and the way they phrase what they say and get a different picture.
And that seems ok with many, a single fingered salute to those who don't want to buy a pack of clan mechs they can't/won't use. "I've got what I want, I profit and I don't care about you-TOUGH."
Luckily, Russ is putting on the big boy pants and doing something about it to make the IS purists guys happy, which I can only applaud.
Everyone wants to feel special sure-but why should they at the expense of others? We do after all supposedly live in enlightened times, going by some of the "no" posts you'd think otherwise.

No, too many people were against it. I'm in a similar boat in that I think that people who bought the lower tiers of the Phoenix pack should be given a chance to upgrade, but it seems people are against that too. Well, some support it, but there are enough dissenters that PGI won't be doing that. Instead we get to give them even more money, which I'm not likely to do. Drop $40 to upgrade from Storm to Overlord? Very, very tempting. Drop $80 (+?) to get 4 other mechs? Probably not.

Battle of Tukayyid is still like 2 years off. Right now ComStar barely knows what's going on and when it does find out they try to ally with the Clans. Just want to know what my 80-125 ish dollars is going to buy, would prefer a Redeux IS hero pack, or clanbuster pack over the current 2 Clan choices. Even though I have achieved semi-Pro godlike results in my Direwolf

Someone needs to start a couple new threads/posts straight up asking about the Inner Sphere/King Crab option.
I think it is generally known that "Bringing Back Founders or Phoenix" is highly frowned upon by the community, so the only other option is the previously discussed IS PACK.

That costs $100, is easily available for everyone and doesn't remove the exclusivity of older packs by bringing them back again.


Or better yet, don't time limit the King Crab.

If you purchase a top tier package, at any time in the past or future then you are eligible for this loyalty reward. People who purchased a top tier package in the past get it when it's released and people who purchase a top tier pack in the future get the loyalty King Crab when the pack is delivered.

Only the KGC-(Reward) one is, like the Clan Invasion (I) Variants, or Phoenix (P) variants.
The exact same day we get it all 3 of the Regular King Crab are released for MC (Dec 16). 2-4 weeks later, they're released for C-Bills (January some time).

So while we get one for free, we don't get it before anyone else.
(Well, maybe by a couple of hours, but that's it)

Well, the reward one does have the Hero/Phoenix variant +30% c-bills bonus. That will not be available on any King Crabs until (if?_ they release an actual Hero variant.

Don't know if this has been mentioned. But since it is a reward for "supporting" the game financially..Why not just make it a limited time pre-order for cash? Say 30-40$ for the KC alone. And all those who have pre-ordered a package get it for free. I think that would be fair. I am founder, but did not play at launch because of a crappy computer. So I missed the phoenix deal and would love the chance to get it. But I can understand why that offer should not come back, as I myself am a "exclusive" collector. I qualify for the KC three times as is.

I posted my Best idea 2 pages or so back. Just wanted to remind everyone if they did a Comstar pack it should be 6 mechs instead of 4 since comstar uses a base 6 unit configuration
