I'm the proud owner of a golden DireWolf. It's awesome!
But.... some of my teammates may be jealous, or have other reasons... causing them to betray me and fire at my beautiful gold mech! How dare they!
Seriously, I'm rather pissed off when this happens. Do I fire back at them? Or just let them kill me?
In all cases, I ask them via chat to stop firing at me. But they just continue. Sometimes before they commit betrayal, they use the team chat to acknowledge their aversion to gold mech owners. I cannot understand why; since it's people like me who allow them the comfort of a free-to-play game.
Either way. I got screenshots of the last couple of teamkills. It just happened again to me. Is there any way to send these to your support department so the Keshik can take on these betrayers?!
I thank the Keshik for its wisdom.
Yours truly,
Golden Elite

Accurate names and a brief description of what happened are required.
A Screenshot or two to further support your case are always welcomed.

However, we had someone on our team a couple nights ago who was doing it to a couple people. We just killed him and moved on, winning the match (with 3 down before we even engaged the enemy). Best bet is to send at email to support, which is what we all did. Sorry that happens to you. Some people are just 3yr old's in the gaming world.

Lets be honest here, someone sniping from 700 meters away with Gauss does not create an easy to see line of fire. It is up to the sniper to make sure he is aware of his teammates in the area before letting lose.
But back on topic of being under fire of teammates!
1. PGI still has a bug where random players on your team do not appear on your UI, Map or even when you press q to ID mechs.
Twice in the last 2 days I have had teammates open fire on me. A black jack who removed my rear armor before I was able to type in chat that I was friendly because I was brawling with the main enemy line! The second the enemy shifted diretions I turned to face the BJ and to explain what was going on. Guess what he did not read or reply (i bet because he was busy trying to kill the enemy timber in front of him) After getting alphaed again I simply charged him and killed him myself...
Again last night a suicidal jager on HPG landed an AC20 in my RT, I go through the motions of trying to explain I am friendly. (I even tried dancing in front of him to show I was not attacking him) BOOM! Now I have a red RT! Once again I engage my "friendly" and blow his side torso and get a TK penality.... this time it was in the team q and the end match score was 12-1 where the sole enemy "kill" was me defending myself from said jager!
I do not have a gold mech but have been shot at plenty of times by friendlies by what I assume is the UI bug. I never report them but try to explain and if that fails I take them out before they kill me.

You are not special or elite because you paid $500 for a gold mech, and you aren't "making the game possible."
I've never team-killed a gold mech, and I have also never seen a gold mech team-killed. Maybe you should check your ego, your attitude, and your positioning/piloting, and see if those might be contributing factors when you're being teamkilled.
It possible people don't appreciate you jumping into the heaviest, slowest, most difficult to handle mech in the game and then failing to contribute to the match and teamkill you out of retaliation when you're standing still 500 away behind a wall with 1/10 of the team's tonnage. Every time I have seen gold mechs I have seen people use them as a rallying beacon, not target practice.

One could say, you only have 500 dollars to spend on a mech in a video game, on the backs of the labor of the people who have to budget themselves.
Hilarious...but also really counter productive. Id hope if someone TKed religiously theyd be banned. But things happen, and id hope most TKs are forgiven, regardless of the cause.

Just saying, most teamkilling in this game is probably caused by frustration more than malice.
Was someone already in position A firing on position B?
Did you just get in front of them in position A? Was there room for another mech?
Did they just watch half their team melt 1/2 grid away, contributing to the fight and then turn around to discover you spent the battle staring vacantly across the opposite grid doing nothing, totally unaware of the massive fracas right next door (even though enemies were being painted constantly), where they definitely needed you %99 undamaged AC40 Jager?
Again, it's not okay to teamkill someone but you're a lot more likely to get it from your team if you're 9:00 in with four men down at %100 health hiding in the trenches than if you step out at 13:00 and they all see you rip an enemy's arm off. Stopping on the bridge is always super awesome too, we just love it when you choose to be first into the breach and then stop with 8 teammates trying to get past and around you.

the guass sniper...yeah, happens..........what about ME, in my Nova, with a dozen mediums chainfiring away... banshee, streaming out a non stop fire hose of ac5, quad lasers? and the goof walks in front of me, and STOPS!
By the time I get off the hammer, they turn around and type in some idiocy..OR, let me have an alpha strike....honestly it takes a lot of self control NOT To team kill

Name and shame will get you banned. Killing someone else who is attempting to teamkill you will get you banned as well. PGI expects players to not retaliate and screenshot + report to support privately.

Anyhow, being a light player, i've been team-killed several times already, but i never felt like it was deliberate! Hack even i have team-killed 4 or 5 ppl in my MWO career so far.
