oh no, i,m getting that sinking feeling...
i enjoy a good story line and am looking forward to the roll playing that will be provided here
but i also enjoy an all out rockem,sockem brawler type of game play also
it clears the brain of all the daily stresses
is this play style going to be available,or will it all be structured and part of moving the story line along ?

i am that player who has only a few hours on the weekend,and sometimes a few during the week,due to work (exploration)
sometimes i am home for weeks at a time,(winter),sometimes away for weeks at a time (summer)
does this mean i may not get what i am looking for here ?
does this mean if i join a group, i will become a liability?
does this mean i will need to get my mech fix some where else ?

Perhaps you should outline what you're looking for from the game? The lack of melee being a downer for you strikes me as odd, since I personally wouldn't expect melee in a giant mecha game like this. Perhaps a anime style game, but not a game like this. However that is MY expectation....what's yours?

due to time limitations i was hoping to be able to drop anytime of the day or nite into skirmishes with other like minded players
i have played in leagues before and while that play is valid with players persuing a common goal, i found i could not make the commitment needed for that
now i have been a lance member and i love teamwork
nothing more satisfying than going out with pilots who can actually use the tools they have effectivelly
but to a lance relying on me being there,when the lance is called to duty,i am afraid i cannot honour that obligation
of course i may reading too much into it,and it may not be nearly as bad as i think it will be
time will tell
