Since the Cyclops appears to be winning the race (much to my dismay), I might as well speculate hardpoints:

CP-10-Z
LA: 1E
LT: 1M
CT: 1M
RT: 3B
RA: 1E

CP-10-Q
LA: 1E
LT: 2M
CT: 1M
RT: 1M, 1E
RA: 1E

CP-11-A
LA: 2E
LT: 1M
CT: 1M
RT: 1B
RA: 2E

*Assuming 7 hardpoints per variant. All of them would have a max engine limit of 400, which could be nice if the mech was XL-friendly.

Agreed, no reason to take this over an Atlas if it is not XL friendly. It looks like it could be narrrow Mech if they do it right.

Well, if we got the ZEU-6Y, we'd get a good excuse to add Binary Laser Cannons. New weapon for the IS! :D Also, I'm speculating that it might have pre-nerf Victor agility, which would be fun.

The Clops, by what I can see so far, essentially gives us a faster flightless 90 ton option (compared to the Highlander).

I actually would not wish zeus to win this poll because it offers relatively little variety vs. the awesome, which is a durable energy boat of similar loadouts (to the point where some can be replicated on the awesome..)

I'm a Steiner player, so I pretty much have to pick the Zeus (e before u, people). I'd love to see some melee mechs make an appearance, though: Hatchetman and Axeman.

The Zeus has ballistics on most variants, the Awesome lacks ballistics. Zeus also has a higher engine limit than most Awesome variants do.

That's because Lyrans feel comfortable with the name. After all, as any Draconian knows a Lyran is just a belligerent, warmongering thug with money. Is it any wonder the Draconis Combine feels a need to defend itself from unwarranted aggression with neighbors such as these. :D

Oh, and I voted Cyclops despite the Charger possibly leading to the Hatamoto down the line because I really wanna see an Alex Iglesias take on the mech. :)

Well, better than being warmongering thugs without money.....like a certain neighbor of ours with a penchant for sushi.

But your mech production facilities are very quaint and rustic.

I heard they had some prototype Sunders, at least 3 variants, in this time period...

Yup. Buff the arms...and having a 360XL could be very nice. Could be.

Or get dinky Atlas (or tro correct cyclops) trex arms...and watch them torsos go pop.

well you heard wrong......

It was based off the Loki, which at this point in time, they haven't even seen yet.

I'll vote Zeus but only if she gets the cooling fins. That really sets her apart from other mechs on the playground.

No IS Omnis in any form until post Battle of Luthien when the DC found itself struggling to maintain all the salvage.

I chose Zeus because it's such an iconic mech to the Lyrans, but I would secretly prefer the Charger.

(Cyclops would be the best candidate for Assault ECM, but people would riot if someone took away the ECM from the Atlas DDC)

I'd argue quite the opposite actually...

The Zeus is visually beautiful, at least its original Battletech tech-manual artwork, when compared against 99% of IS mechs in those tech readouts. The cyclops is pretty ugly, and not just compared to the Zeus :P

Cyclops hardpoints wouldn't be anything special compared to the Banshee, Highlander, or Atlas.

Not to say the Zeus won't have much more variety (location aside) in its hardpoints over a Victor, but just pointing it out... neither would the Cyclops compared to mechs in its class as well.

Tough choice.
I'd say forget Charger, bring in Hatamoto-Chi!
But as he is not in the list, choosing between Zeus and Cyclops I guess I'd prefer seeing ZEU on the battlefield. And it's 80 ton, not so tiresome to tear through...

Likely both the Zeus and the Cyclops would have similar hardpoints -- just the Zeus would have the missiles in the arm and the Cyclops spread over the torso.

The Cyclops would also have the same (or very similar) hard points as a Highlander, just with a larger engine cap and no ability to jump. The Zeus would have a larger engine cap than the Awesome and hopefully the Victor, since it doesn't have jump -- though the Cyclops might get a bit of a mobility bump over the Highlander since it can't jump, either.

The Cyclops as a whole though is a pretty bad 'Mech -- over engined, under armored. 10 tons for a 90 ton 'Mech? At 80 tons the Zeus comes in at a ton and a half more armor from the get.

But on style and sexiness, the Zeus wins hands down. I'd pay for a top tier Inner Sphere pack to get one because in this time line its my favorite looking 'Mech.
