I can't fathom why you are even considering the Charger. The Hatamoto-Chi would be a far better addition at 80 tons.

There's a level of difference in the Charger variants not seen in any weight class for a long, long while.

Well, lack of Melee does that anyhow...but really.... is that entirely a BAD thing?
Sword toting mechs are possibly the dumbest thing that the 90s anime movement migrated to Battletech. At least previous melee was brute clumsiness because of tech necessity.

To me it would what the Victor used to be sans jump jets.

Also, any chance that we might see the venerable Devastator at some point? It has three variants listed on Sarna, although, admittedly, one does incorporate MASC...
Thank you for posting up the poll!

Didn't say it wasn't - but that does leave the Kurita players out on a limb later, which is something to consider for the future of CW.

I feel ya, though actually, one of the Liao CGR variants does pack 2 SRMs. It is not the perfect THUG analog, but then, if I want a THUG, I want to figure out how to get a real Thug.
I would be curious to see how far Alex would have to stretch it though to make a Hatamoto that visually actually fit with the MWO look.

Eh, someone has to suck it up, might as well be the Snakes.

Bring it to MWO, Russ.
p.s. - I'd also love to see what Alex Iglesias can do with such a uniquely designed mech.

Nope, energy hardpoints on the CGR-1A1 are RA, RT, LT, LA, HD.
The CGR-1A5 has RT AC/20, 2 SRM-6 LT, MLas CT, SLas HD.
The CGR-1A9 has MLas RA, RT, LT, LA, LRM-20 RT, and four JJ in the legs (the CGR-3K is similar but with a larger XL engine and MPLas and Artemis.)

It's true; only the Lyran Military-Industrial bureaucracy could bloat a fire-support heavy loadout into the assault class...
