Choice is simple:
Zeus
because you have 2 Hero at hand:
Leonidas Brannock - Gaus instead of AC 5; LRM 20 instead of LRM 15
ZEUS-6X.... the best - new toy - the Binary Lazor....
The other "Standard" Version only differ in the choice of the "Main Gun" the AC5 vs PPC vs ER-PPC
Although no Zeus would be a "new Mech" because you can rebuild it with Awesomes or Victors

The Charger 3K - is unique with 5 energy weapons, jumpjets and missiles
Other Versions of the Charger - are mediocre (5 energy weapons) or slow - or a weaponload that can be rebuild with VTR-9S( B)

Cyclops.
Strictly its a faster smaller version of the Atlas. But you hardly can make the AC 20/Gauss version work - you have to add a XL Fusion - to do this....and a Gauss in the same location as the XL is a death sentence.
AC 20 is not possible.
Last not least some people may start to compare the Cyclops with the Boars Head (and i don't want to read those tears)

I have voted for the Cyclops since it would add to the 90 ton bracket, We have enough 80 tonners in the game at the moment, specialy since the clans have another one added in december. The Charger is just a joke Russ if you where going for that you should use the real version which is the Kuritan improved version called the Hatamoto-Chi.

And all i can say to the Zeus is its basicly the Battlemaster which was added after they made the BM unseen at the time, just 5 tons lighter.

Like i said we have 2 soon to be 3 80 tonners, 3 85 tonners, 1 90 tonner, 1 95 tonner, and soon to be 3 100 tonners in the assault bracket. we need more 90 tonners,

It's funny how the Hunchback, Highlander, Dragon, and Zeus was in the Inner Sphere mech pack of Mechwarrior 4, but not together in MWO:

Come on, we need to see this mech reunited.

One of two things:

Russ declares both winners! (and whether or not they actually appear in game is a totally unrelated matter.)

OR:

Russ declares next obvious choice the winner! (and whether or not the Charger actually appear in game is a totally unrelated matter.)

Do it for the orphan, the orphaned Zeus.

still like Duane's original best. (Though the Zeus-X from Maximum Tech is amazing)

why people keep posting the much inferior TRO version (sorry Matt) IDK. But this os to me, as iconic as the T Wolf from the cover of the Battletech Compendium.

I would say the Hatchetman, Catapult and Zeus are the 3 banner bearers for that TRO.

The second one would looks so much sexier with the old school circular style lrms... The torso looks fantastic.

I voted, but tbh none of those mechs are all that exciting for me and i assume many other players.

Only the Cyclops is a bit ahead in the new and interesting compartment since its pretty well known for its ECM and other communication capabilities and as such will bring something to MWO that the other 2 wont.

yeah, that was a point of contention between me and CarrionCrows on the design. I should redo it with the drum launcher.

I love the Zeus, I really do, but the only reason I want to see it in MWO more than the Cyclops is the Binary Laser Cannon. PGI releases that along side the Cyclops and the lack of Zeus will be forgiven.

Votes are 338 to 340 as I write this; and I'm not surprised.

The Zeus is a great frontline assault mech, reasonably fast, decent hardpoints, and it's a Lyran icon. Unfortunately, it would be competing in the crowded 80-ton bracket.

The Cyclops would be a breath of fresh air at 90 tons, and it's quite zippy for its bulk, but its primary claim to fame is an electronics package, which it wouldn't have in MWO.

Short answer: Cyclops

Why;
1) Different appearance to others. Lots of battlemechs look really similar, and this has a unique appearance
2) Hopefully more ballistic assaults.
