But we do need a 10 tons lighter Atlas, right?

The stock default variant does, because it has good armor and huge non XL engine.
The other variants offer much more variety, you have the 1A9 which is slightly slower but along with lasers it packs LRM rack and jump jets, and then you have the 1A5 which again is slower than stock but packs missiles, energy and torso mounted ballistic slots.
People are focusing the 5 SL and lack of physical damage, but the Charger is the only one of the three 'Mechs we're voting on that offers real significant differences among its variants rather forcing hard point inflation to invent differences that still leave the Zeus and Cyclops variants all boring and similar.
This. ^
(Still, voted for Zeus because it's so iconic and I really don't want the Cyclops)

My second thought was Cyclops for following reasons: could be given ECM for its presumed "Command" role and is faster than Atlas (so can keep up with the rest of the force it covers easier), can laso be made leanier (better XL compatibility). And second 90-tonner is better than third 80-tonner.
Zeus... offers almost nothing over Victor or Awesome. It's mostly worse Victor with energy slots moved from arms to torso and missile slots vice versa and no jump jets.

Nope the charger is awesome. Fast, super well armored, JJs on some variants, nothing but laser slots. It would replace my Banshee Pulse boat brawler.
The cyclops is a great runner up and im glad thats winning.
Though to be fair, the Zeus is awesome too. Theyre all great. I just know the Charger needs some love since alot of people scoff at it immediately without giving it a chance.
And my charger would be 2x LPlas, 2xMPlas, 1xSPlas running around at 80kph...so I cant hate on that. With JJs and full armor? Yes please.
And obviously theyll all be included at some point..theyre iconic mechs. Everything thats been in a previous MW game will probably eventually make it here as well.
Zeus, Charger, and Cyclops are just this current polls choice.
I wouldnt doubt in two years, that all three will be in.

Yeeessss! The chicken legs, that aggressive look that just says" what you're gonna get in my face cause I'm using PPCs, sure but keep in mind 12SRMS IN DA FACE!"
This and the Zeus and all my mwo dreams come true.
Edit: I also like the Loki getting curb stomped in that pic. With the mad cat in the back going "hey stop it"

So I voted Cyclops mainly because I like where the weapons are on it. Also it's a faster Atlas as both the Zeus and Cyclops both go 64.8 KPH stock. And we need another in the 90t bracket instead of a lighter assault.

I voted Cyclops for the Hero mech potential (Ariana Winston drove one in the Twilight of the Clans books).

yeah, but having one doesn't mean you get the other.
Besides...does MWO really need Gundam Mechs?
