Got another Whale and almost got his helper-monkey HBK-J.
I have a habit of backstabbing the Whale then walking over their corpse so the pilot can see that it was a Locust that got 4 alphas on his rump before he noticed.
That HBK had lag shields or something. 3 of us were pounding him and he wasnt twisting. Even after he overheated.

I've had some good fortune killing whales with my Locust 3M and Com TDK today. Some bad fortune getting any of my games to count toward the free mech though. I can get 1+ kills, 1+ assists with no trouble at all, only to lose because my team loses despite a lance of advantage. Not a great day to mech-war.

Last one to fall on my team.
Took two whales with me in the closing minute before they finally brought down my TDK though
Open CT? Shoot 'em right on the tip of the nose while using vertical terrain and lateral movement to make their shots tougher. "Smack them on the nose" works on Timbers and other bullet-noses too. Even Stormcrows if you can hit them in the beak.
Fun, fo' sho'.
