It is a merge between the classic and the MW4 design in my mind. The best of both worlds.

I will absolutely buy it once it hit for CBills

What not its not, the Mad Dog from MW4 was generally liked because though it changed the arms up they were still elongated and it had the majority of the charm to the old design true. Beefed up the legs abit etc...

This one, legs aren't my issue, it needs to be more bird like to make sense tbh, but the torso is just shrunk down way too much from profile, and the missile racks are god awful tiny, the lasers like ALL lasers not have to be square because PGI is too lazy to set smoothing groups on circles, or to bake normals I guess. Seriously, cylinders aren't that hard to make guys.

100% agree with the more crouched position (I believe this was also the issue with another mech?) but it can be even better!

The lasers definately need to be longer. I cant' imagine it being much work. Since all they have to do is move it out a bit. modlers usually model longer than what is seen.. so all they ave ht do is slide it out

Nah, just adjust the stubs in the middle, that way the dynamic weapons don't have an issue and imo looks much better.

Increased length in the middle and then slightly longer on the right.

Heck...still waiting on a simple re-rig of the legs...let alone any actual physical changes. Posted Image

Not a big clan guy, but it could do with the tweaks suggested. It is amazing how such a small tweak can change the entire demeanor of a mech. Much like the Warhammer and the proposed cockpit/arm changes.

It would be nice if they just rerigged the legs so that it stood shorter, as many have suggested. It's a very squishy mech to begin with, and standing straight up doesn't do it much favors. Hopefully this comes with whatever big rescaling thing PGI has in the works.

yeah. It's not the "perfect" fix, but sometimes, 1 or 2 simple things can fix the glaring issues and make the rest easy to overlook.

Literally NO adjustments were made to the model. No hips moved, no limbes re-sized, nothing.

All I did was re angle the legs at the existing joints. Re-rig it akin to this, and look at how huge a difference you see in height, and the general demeanor of the profile. Doesn't have an upright Planters Peanut Man carriage anymore, but more akin to the Vulture the inner sphere named it after.

I actually did this, somewhere on the forum, using the above image. I feel like adjusting the actual 'hand' itself that the weapons are mounted on would go a long way to improve the look without requiring a change in the weapon geometry itself.

Its not perfect but I also used paint so...

I think the one in the middle is perfect, as it extends it far enough to look decent with lasers but shouldn't over extend the PPC barrels or other long weapons.

Good news everyone - with the new rescaling, this is no longer a problem - long laser barrels and correct legs.

it looks so much nicer crouched down, along with the Timby.

And don't miss the slimmer upper legs! The legs looked too blocky before.

Crouched stance, slimmer thighs, longer laser barrels, confirmed.

Hey, I have been taking mine into FW lately, and actually having good success Granted both are SRM centric but the Mad Dog does perform well if you can act as support and ambush, Granted fighting Meta builds toe to toe is not easy but, people to under estimate the firepower a Mad Dog can bring to bear.....

P.S. Makes for a Great Kodiak Drop deck!

Kodiak, Mad Dog, Mad Dog, Arctic Cheetah/Jenner IIC.
