1 x Timberwolf
1 x Stormcrow
2 x Adder
200 exactly
That just means my Dire Wolves will have to sit out of CW which will make a lot of people happy.

And two Adders would be good, i rarely see them these days.. This is why i like tonnage limits.

I don't see what is wrong with allowing players to drop less than 4 mechs. Don't allow sharing between players, but allow players to spend more tonnage on less mechs individually.
If you don't want players taking more than 2 Mad Cats, then lower the tonnage to like 185 or so. Then, you can have situations of players taking multiple Medium/Light mechs for 3 re spawns while Heavy/Assault players will have to mix in other lighter options or not get anymore than 1 re spawn.
But forcing players to have to pick 4 mechs along with tonnage limit is not a good idea. There needs to be a variable limit of mechs allowed, with a maximum number, and a tonnage limit.

The Adder is a good 'mech--I just think a lot of people focus too much on comparing it to the IS's faster lights and don't think enough about what the Adder (and many clan lights) were designed for.
There is a very large "flavor of the month" segment here and right now that means a light with ECM and JJs and 140+ KPH speed. A "slow" light with good armor/armament is currently not (to use a term I hate and gets thrown around way too much) the "meta".

Even a 200t limit means you couldn't take two Timberwolves--that leaves 50 tons for two 'mechs for a few months the lightest clan 'mech is still 30t.

uugh.... I may have to find new mechs to work with id I've only got 185 tons to work with.... hey here comes the Hell Bringer pack....(sorry wife!)
Damn even at 185 tons, I can't fit one of each weight class... Most I can cram in there is 3 mechs for the Clans at that weight.
You don't have to for each weight class.
You can bring 2 Timber, 1 Mad Dog and 1 Mist Lynx that's 235.

Assume of course they count the maximum tonnage and not the tonnage of the mech itself. If they count the actual tonnage and not the maximum. I could easily run 2 stripped down locus with no armor and the smallest XL engine.

265t would allow you to "min max" i.e. take the following:
100t Assault
75t Heavy
55t Medium
35t Light
245t gives the IS the option to take one of each weight class while 200t makes a clan player make a hard choice where they have to double up/skip a weight class to make the limit. If this is really the "hard core role play" aspect of MWO anyone who claims to really align with the clans does not want to drop with a 1:1 weight ratio.

Oh yeah.
How would you like to have a 30 Minute match that ends in you getting 200k Cbills?
My team each brings 1 Assault lets say Dragon Slayers, that's it. Say yours brings a bunch of Locust and Jenners. My team obliterates 36 of your teams mechs then falls to the last spawn. We walk out with a lot of $ from component destruction and so forth. You get 100-250k and then the bonus split.
Do you know how much crying there would be over that?
So 4 mechs has to be done. The amount of crying that would take place would make all pandas sad.

So is CW, it's a 25T mech that will be in game for it.
I said
for few more months the lightest clan 'mech is 30t.
So December 21st is the "hard" cutoff for CW. I don't remember what the Mist Lynx date with C-Bill purchase is but I believe it is next year.

Forcing 4 mechs isnt gonna fix the problem. Just means I'm gonna strip down a bunch of locust to nothing (no armor, smallest XL engine, 1 tag) so I can bring bigger mechs to the game. Most meta games will probably go along the lines of "Suicide light rush, into heavies/Assault wars" This isn't going to make me want to play mediums like people assume, just means lights are going to be lemmings and only show up because of the 4 mech restriction.

That's why guaranteed they use "max weight for chassis" and not "actual weight of chassis" so that people don't just create a 5 ton suicide light so they can cram in an extra Atlas.

So I can't train my favorite weight class as well as you can train your favorite weight class? I have to run them 1 at a time, with a few mechs I don't like, so that the lights can max out their skills in 1/3 the time, and not have to face the fact that heavier mechs exist? Forcing 4 mechs, and a weight limit means that fans of higher weight classes have to just "deal with it" while people who like lighter mechs don't have to make any sacrifices and only benefit from the system. Not going to make mediums more useful, just means people are forced to lug them along so they can reach the weight limit.

65t Catapult-K2
65t Catapult/Jagermech
55t Shadowhawk
55t Griffin
Total 240t
80-100t Assault Mech for end of match cleanup.
65t Catapult
55t Shadowhawk
20-40t Light Mech of choice or Cicada as match start scout.
240 works for me. I can go as low as 220 with what I have and what I like.

240 or 245 looks like a good limit for the IS to me.
