Saw an atlas DDC last night with no ECM, 2LBX10s, and 2 LRM15s.

Confused the **** out of me.

Last night I ran my 2X with 4xERLL and a top speed of 50 kph. Managed too scrape togheter 500 damage but I abandoned it since it only worked if I acted like a turret. :P

I am thinking about running this build as soon as I get another 2D, LRMmando.

EDIT: Just played a game in this. Hilarity did ensue. Got 400ish dmg and 188k C-bills. This might be a primary C-bill maker. It makes more than my heros on a win here lately.

I like ammo dependent mechs, since I only need to make my armor last for as long as my ammo does.

I'm just going to assume this guy is better than me at avoiding damage.

..... I might've been that Centurion. Doeswell on most maps, acually. Caustic Valley is not one of those maps.

You can run the build with SRM4s or 6s without issue. There is literally no reason to run with SRM2s, unless using a gigantic STD engine, or just too much ammo, more than is ever needed, or used in a match.

here is one i have been derping around in. with the reward system geared toward light mech role playing it has been a fun ride.

don't judge :D BTW i am still working on the basics in a lct-1m with 2 lrm5s and tag.

basically it came about out of buying all 5 locus and just trying them sort of super stock ie max engine armor and stock weapons. with air strike, uav and adv sensors this thing is quite the scout/long range harasser. just have to stay at the magic 700m and not be seen. :ph34r:

not bad but not great but it gets the job done.

wish i would have screen shot the rager that told me "only lrm5 in a lct just uninstall the game"

it is fun getting behind the red team and getting a tag kill while they search the sky for a uav. :lol:

but it is a roll of the die mech as, with any locus, one mistake and just about anything out there will one shot you dead. :(

I built that back when the commando first came out and ended up killing Paul's K2 when he ran from me. :D

It isn't all that bad, but it is definitely fragile.

Why?

COM-2D ERPPC+ECM+XL200+2DHS+max armor (-2 on head).

Unless you used a STD engine, you should not have any problems running it with almost max armor. I used that for a bit on my 2D.

HBK 4g... 3 ac5... Armor on legs, ct, rt only. 5 tons of ammo. No support weapons. Deal with it.

It actually works quite well if you can go unnoticed in a brawl...

I made a seven flamer awesome once. That's was pretty derp. The best was something I don't think you can do anymore since they changed the tube hardpoints. Whichever raven came with a narc launcher, if you put another missile weapon in that slot it only had the one tube so I stuck an lrm 20 in there and the missiles would come out one at a time over the course of about 15 seconds. Much hilarity ensued. I even had people asking if it was some kind of new weapon. I wish I had recorded that now since im pretty sure when you put something in that slot now it has a more appropriate number of tubes. It was incredibly ineffective as any mechs with an Ams would shoot down every last missile since they were coming one at a time. Also I kept going in general chat amount it burning when they came out of my Narc hole. Good times.

just saw this happen. the direwolf is a red team mech that just shut down. as7s 2ml lrm5a and 2 lrm10a steps up to brawl with a fairly fresh direwolf. yep he died badly. the direwolf should not have been a surprise as it was targeted by 2 other mechs.

Possibly an XL 300 with the rest of slots and tonnage devoted to just ammo. Because, you know, having an LRM 30 (most medium can pull that off if not better) on a 100 ton assault mech, is the way to go these days.
