any preview of what a full quirk will look like on a mech? plz>?
also can some one confirm that the flush of bad quirks will come October 21st? or are they going to do that sooner? or did i completely miss it and its already done? Thanks.

Tier list looks pretty good.

If you don't want to our-right buff PPC speed, maybe a module or IS mechs that have a velocity boost for PPCs?

I would not mind seeing projectile speed boost modules for all projectiles, to include missiles. Lasers can get shorter burn time modules, or something.

OMG people stop griping about your favorite mechs being a lower tier than you think they should be.

The lower the tier... the more they'll get tuned!

Sheesh.

Oh.. and pardon me while I do a naked victory dance atop my computer desk for the return of the un-nerfed Victors (only assault I took the time to master)

EDIT: Got frustrated and posted before I finished reading:

If a mech you love and use frequently is rated low, rejoice, for its going to get a lot better :)

Yep, Huginn missing. Wonder how they are going to fix it though as the problem is ammo dependancy. Unlimited ammo would be quite a stretch. Energy hardpoints as a quick?

Definately tier 5 though.

Please don't mention UA or folks will be requesting Stackpoling again too :P (sorry, j/k, couldn't resist)

Looking at the list, I can't say that I'm disappointed. I mean, the Tier 1 and Tier 2 lists are the mechs I see in the more competitive matches and groups I've seen when I've stumbled upon them.

...and actually, looking at the list, getting some positive changes/quirks to these mechs will be most welcome indeed. I mean, all of the mechs I really enjoy piloting (with the exception of the DDC) or want to pilot more often/give love to are Tier 3-5.

Have to agree with the mentions of the Highlanders being too high.

If we are looking to greatest need in Tier 5 with no benefits to Tier 1, then here's what I think:

LIGHTS
Spoiler

MEDIUMS
Spoiler

HEAVIES
Spoiler

ASSAULTS
Spoiler

Not terrible, but needs a few changes...

lights: seems fine. maaybe put oxide into tier 2, but probably not. id move a lot of the tier 3s into 4: the DK, sdr-A, and the fs9-A and S. id put the lct-3m down to tier 5 as well...probably the 1E too but it is the best locust.

mediums: griffin 3M and shadowhawk 2K are tier 1 worthy mechs. loup de guerre probably is a tier 2 mech as well. sparky is listed twice as grf-s and grf-1e in different tiers...imo it should be a tier 3 though. no strong feelings about any of the tier 4 or 5s

heavies: 3D being tier 1 is pushing it, but not hard enough for me to say it should be taken down. dont see why the firebrand should be in tier 2 if youre not going to include the DD and the S in there too (A should stay tier 3). K2 and A1 might be worth having in tier 2 as well. qkd 4H should move to tier 3, as well as the protector and maybe the VA. TDR 5SS deserves tier 4 as well.

assaults: this is where i see most of the mistakes. VTR 9K isn't worth tier 1, the 9B probably isn't either. 9B tier 2 and 9K tier 3 makes sense. all the mechs currently in tier 2 are good there, but from tier 3 you want to bring the banshee 3E and maybe the 3M up as well into tier 2. the RS should go down to tier 4, as well as the hgn 732 and 733P. and the battlemaster 1S should go into tier 3. finally, the aws 9M should be in tier 4.

How are those related? Not that I want Stackpoling, 'cause I dont.

Another vote for the RVN-H Huginn needing to be on this tier list. I suppose it's not quite as painful as the RVN-4X was but it's definitely a very mediocre mech and one of my most ill informed/reasoned purchases.

Re: the Highlanders' position on the list, I'm thinking like the Victor, it's going to lose all their negative quirks which will make them significantly better than what they currently are. Also, if Russ & co. are taking suggestions Highlanders need a quirk that makes their Jump Jets better and perhaps take reduced falling damage. With the current system 3-4 JJs are nigh useless and for a mech that named the maneuver for crushing enemy mechs by jumping on them the Highlanders needs to be able to get some air.

Pretty Baby/Yen Lo/SDR-5K are one tier lower than where I think they should be. Not that I'm complaining about by beloved Yen Lo being lower. It's just in the interest of fairness.

Not sure how the majority of the Catapults are on the same tier as the Jagers... they can do everything (apart from one or two super heavy missile builds) the same as the Catapults but better, with higher Arm mounts, a smaller over-all frame, ballistics and a CT that isn't the size of an atlas...

Catapults also climb hills like an Assault, remember...

Catapults might not have the higher arms, but they have very friendly side torsos for XL engines. That counts for something.

please treat the hbk-gi the same way you will the hbk-4g. that gauss weapon in the side torso the grid came with was the worst idea possible for a medium mech with an xl. please don't encourage more of its use thru buffs

Yes....yes it should be. Tier 4 must have all the good cooling quirks....

It's just a horribad energy boat, that requires hefty cooling quirks

The HGN 733C might need a bump down to Tier 3. It's really bad as of late. The Shadowhawks--particularly the 2K and those two Griffins in Tier 2, they might need a bump to Tier 1. They are solid.

But hey, I don't mind seeing them get buffed, further. ;)

As for the two lights @ tier 1... Well... See, the problem remains with most IS 'mechs--and the reason the tiering is so bad--is that the medium and small lasers were nerfed so long ago by having extra heat added to them plus ghost heat... it really messed over the IS as a whole, bad. Probably the best thing that could be done first off is removing the heat nerfs to these weapons plus removing ghost heat from them. I'd probably start first with removing the heat nerfs...
