I hope he is able to provide relevant dates for what he mentions so that it can be incorporated into the timeline for posterity. Russ has been very forthcoming lately, which is a great change of pace.

Although I likely won't be able to listen to it live, I look forward to catching the recording and/or transcript of the event. I think this session is going to be a lot more than a "Throw IGP under the bus session" as people are already hypothesizing . . . because there is a lot to cover on how and when some things went sour (like the UI debacle), and how that effected and slowed down the game development. I think it will give us a great deal of insight on where we're at, how we got here, and where we're going. We weren't there for all of it, and we don't know everything that happened, because we were only on one side of it, and now Russ has the freedom to explain the other side, which I think many of us feel is important to understanding PGI's and MWO's situation.

Thank you, PGI, for all the great communication y'all have been putting out there. I look forward to riding out the long haul with MWO.

In January I saw some changes, August even more. Then at the last town hall how much information did he go over. He went way over the time he was originally going to spend. That was great!

These townhalls are going to be a good way to keep many people informed, but it does take a few drops out the the night or all of them.

Can not wait to hear it.

How long till armor values are put to standard instead of doubled so that brawling will actualy be a viable play style. Cause with the armor doubled trying to brawl is useless. I know. How about making community warfare the proper armor values and leave the double armor for the normal game. Let all these people know what playing mechwarrior is suposed to be.

I don't know about retracing the last 2.5 years. I would rather the time spent go into discussing a balance pass for ECM, Heatscale, UI 2.0, and maybe finding out if there's a plan for some other stuff, like finding a way to make SHS different from, not strictly worse than DHS, and a reason to take FF armour.

How about just getting rid of the ghost heat entirely. Give us back the better grafix we had in CLOSED BETA. Make prices WAY more resonable on both MC stuff and ingame stuff (realy 2 mil for a low end modual or a basic color?) severly revamp the ui. The original one was way more user friendly. Make dbl hs actualy double instead of the mornic 1.6 or whatever random non doubled number they are using right now.
Griphorim if they go back to NORMAL armor like it shoukd be ff would be more worth it.

Forgot to mention return in game rewards back to were they were around a year ago when we got told they were cut because we were making to much and we would be getting something to offset it "soon". Well that still hasnt happened.

It should be a valid question for the topic. SLI was discussed a LONG time ago as somthing "in the works" and went under the radar for a long time since. I suspect it is related to the IGP money machine format that recently changed(can't sell SLI for MC) so I really, really, really hope they can work it out now so I can turn my other card on for MWO. I tried it for a bit before:

112 FPS on max everything. Side effect- mech bits(like arms etc) become invisible. Ever try to shoot a jager you can only see his right arm floating around?

The people that you are theorizing this is meant to reach are not interested in talking. Russ would be way better off just coming on twitch and showing off actual CW progress that's been made if he wants to impress those people. This Town Hall will make the people who want to be happy with PGI happy and the cynics will stay cynical because they are cynical from hearing wonderful announcements and promises and getting not much for 2.5 years.

I said back in the Player Council thread that of all the Town Hall subjects Russ listed this one had the least value by far. I really hope we aren't going to waste more than 20 minutes going over ancient history and blaming PGI.

ECM, UI 2.0 and Heatscale were all topics that Russ said he might go over but for some messed up reason this has top priority.

Russ, all due respect, everyone loves the communication but I think a live town hall is a terrible format to do a recap of past development if that even needs to be done at all. Its dangerous to talk live about something that is so on the boundary of professional decorum.

The people who are badly badly burned but love Battletech want to come back. When/if CW is a real thing, that works and doesn't feel rushed or unfinished I expect to see a lot of old faces. Some of them will come back if the 10/21 patch is delivered with that long list of really good sounding changes. Some will come back for the IS quirk pass.

Its actions and the delivery of real content that will cause forgiveness. Only the truly deranged super-minority care about re-hashing what happened way back when. And you know what, they aren't going to believe whatever you say anyways because they expect you to just make up excuses and deflect blame.

I would really hope that if it were possible and you were ready to address them you could switch the topic or at least cut the history lesson short so we can get to something important:
-ECM. Its seemingly too much for the player council but the community has discussed it at length, where are you now with it?

-3PV. Just take 3PV out of CW. CW has been described as the hardcore RP mode, 3PV has no place in it. It turns out it was never that big of a deal anyways in the public queues. No harm no foul.

-Heat Scale. This would be huge and is my personal #1. I haven't heard PGI's thoughts on this for a long time and I think we can all acknowledge that the current heat system feels very placeholder and is missing important stuff.

-UI 2.0. This has player council written all over it. It would be easy for the playerbase to create a list of the biggest issues we have with the UI. I don't think it needs to be talked about live on a stream..?

All those people who were saying how it's just an act. "They'll stop communicating with us once the rage dies down." Separating from IGP has made such a huge difference. If this is what the game had been like before, they could have been spared so many grievers.

Why is this a big deal again? If you are worried about RP purposes, I really think the drone thing makes it make a lot of sense.
