Can We Let Machineguns Shoot Down Missiles Already?

Energy slots get TAG, missile slots get NARC, why not let ballistics interact with some support?

They do have the same mechanic, minus the CoF.
Mmhmm. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but a weapon that's able to burn through the armor on a Mech should be able to burn through the skin of a missile. So why not, right?
SPLs might become the best anti-missle weapon ever.
Edit:
I'd actually be more inclined to use Las weapons on Missiles, as there's no ammo to worry about.
Also, what year does the Las-AMS come out? There is one in BT, right?

Laser Burn AC rounds down,
AC Round Blocking Laser Beam,
AC Round Deflecting Gauss Rounds

Even a flamer could be used in close quarter combat to provide an anti-missile screen against a missile boat, or a SRM/SSRM barrage.
In a brawl, I know I'd aim at my opponents launchers with MG or Flamer spam of I had it...but I could only imagine the crying and gnashing of teeth if we were able to detonate all or some portion of an opponent's missiles right as they launch.

You do realize kinetic projectiles are completely different ballgame then missiles? And no you would not. Its not like you are obliged to obey some strange real world physics just because you change a game mechanic? What kind of dumb logic is that? Also AC rounds are so fast the amount of time they would "block" a beam would be completely negligible.

Haha can you imagine the servers trying to keep up with tracking the hit boxes of 100's of missiles, and 100's of MG bullets, to try and find collision? You would learn what soul-crushing lag really is.
