In every media in which they have both appeared side by side, the grasshopper has had much bulkier arms and a much narrower torso than the black knight. Plus the grasshopper carries fewer weapons in the arms than the black night.

The black night has spindly little arms and a huge barrel chest.
The only times it had big arms was in MW4BK where they decided that anything spindly had to be replaced with boxy stumps (i.e. the hexagon on a swivel arms which replaced the marauder style omnipods on clan mechs,), and the MWDarkAge Clix game, which had massively divergent artstyle compared to the rest of the franchise. (which is the source for the "cool" looking black night BLK-NT-5H everyone keeps posting, which is from 3145, 93 years in future of the timeline.)

Notice the separate plate that the ppc is attached to on the right arm, even in the original art it had a form of shield arm.

im a TT guy and in playing TT, I loved my mechs that had JJ with a PPC and some missiles as an added bonus. I loved the GH because it was a heavy version on the wolfhound or Panther.

So I voted for it as I have a soft spot for it because of TT.

1) Yes but the heavier the mech is in game the lower it jumps, the formula for the grasshoppers tonnage and the class III jumpjets makes it worse then shadowhawk, there is a reason you do not see highlanders jump to 150 meters with 5 jumpjets right? Blame the JJ nerf.

2) Then wouldn't using a pre-buff shadowhawk be a bad example place holder?

3) He didn't say ONLY grasshopper, he just said the grasshoppers all have it. re-read his post, it says nothing about black knight getting none

Black Knight had quite a lot of field modifications (AKA things like the highlander situation) that lead to a few jumpjets being added so this is as Cannon as those.
The ECM mechs I listed never had ecm, field modification, 'hero', or rebuilt versions.

Well, no matter the outcome of this poll. We're bound to get one of'em. Just which one. I believe the Grasshopper first. Cause a source told me that both will come, eventually. Just not in the same package.
