If you could select one map you'd rather not play on before you drop, which would you pick, if any? It seems like a popular feature request, so how would you use it?
For me it would be Mining Collective, as I get an unplayable framerate on that map (I'm assuming because of the pretty flames). If I had a second vote, it'd go to either of the Forest Colony variants, as I find matches on that map to be fairly one dimensional.
I am keeping a tally complete with the most common complaints and comments. I've decided to keep it hidden for now so that new votes aren't biased based on what readers find in the tally. I'd like to send the completed list and thread off to Russ and/or the lead map designer for when they consider reviewing, revisiting, and updating old maps, which is something they've expressed interest in doing. Perhaps this can serve as a sort of priority list. I'll be sharing the tally from time to time.

I shun rarlier maps mostly. Forest Colony (it needs at least to be sunnier), River City (not only night, but day, too).
BTW I'm like Frozen City night variant but I dropped on it last time like ages ago - almost like it's out of rotation. I only see daytime blizzards on it.
And I like Terra Therma, I'm surprized that so many people hate it. It's eye candy, large and provides variety of tactical options. A bit hot, but tolerable.
Alpine Peaks. Utterly pro snipers/lrm's, anti brawlers. Other battlefields except crater you can work around but Alpine is so one sided you might as well pull the plug in a IS non fast moving/srm/ml boat.

Definitely Alpine, incredible lack of terrain detail and cover, if you didn't bring a long range loadout you're pretty F'd.
Alpines worst map. Nothing to do for 10 mins if you have no long range weapon. No cover, too big. Light mechs get f---ed the worst. If you're an assault mech, it takes 5 mins to reach a mountain and climb it.
Mining collective favourite map. I like it. Good for all types of mechs and plenty of cover.
Presently it would be Moon Base Alpha. But that is only due to my preferred load out on my Battlemaster right now. Missiles can be defeated quite easy. But if I switch my load out then I really don't have a map I want to avoid... Mordor maybe?
River City Night, unless we can have the old, blue thermal back. If we can have the blue thermal back, I could stand to see Alpine or Mordor go the way of old yeller.
I hope they implement the "vote for map and game mode-button"
I have no reason to hate any map so much I'd never want to play it (some maps force you to change your playstyle, it's nice). Sometimes I'd like to veto a map out because of the build I'm running (usually soldiers are told where they will be deployed and plan accordingly ahead?).
I would like to see some maps where it wouldn't be so obvious where the advantage is, but it might be difficult to design such a map. Or make capping and gathering resources be more important to avoid "it's just a skirmish with quimmick".
