MAJOR SCREW UP DETECTED. Why does my end of match score show that I earned 3K GXP??

By disconnecting, you're not hurting PGI. You're hurting your fellow players. That's why I said what I did. Starting games you don't plan to finish isn't something I want you to be able to do and if the only way to prevent you is a ban, then yes, I'm rooting for you to get banned.

Forgot to say that if enough people feel the way you do and either stop playing or gain enough traction on the forums then PGI will reverse it. But what you're describing isn't constructive, it's griefing.

We can't play the game mode we want? Seriously? What are you smoking? Have you tried playing Conquest on Terra Therma in a Dire Wolf or Atlas? Boy playing these matches with all the discos should be fun.

How about just taking the weapons off the mechs too so you can finalize the move to HIde & Cap Online?

It takes a bit more time than one day to figure out what the general opinion is (and while you might think it is WE HATE THIS, some of us are actually happy about it) and decide what the best thing to do is. Well dont put me in a game i dont wana start in the first place, I DONT WANA BE THERE, why is PGI griefing MY playtime with putting me in a situation i DONT want to be in.
I am not hurting other players, PGI is, by putting me in a situation i dont want to be in, dont transfer the blame on me.
If people are not picking a certain game mode its because THEY DONT WANT TO PLAY that mode, what part of that do you not understand? why are you trying to force them??

A constructive way you could have handled this would have been to play out your matches to the best of your abilities after posting in team and all chat that you feel wronged by the most recent matchmaker change and request that your fellow players join your cause by visiting the forums and posting their support.

Actually I explained my problem to the group but I'm not running a video game charity so I don't play for the sole benefit of others. The fact that nonpaying players (me) are content for the paying players is secondary to me playing in the first place.

To assume I disconnected without explanation makes you more than a bit presumptuous. If anyone was on the fence about voicing their opinions about the MM perhaps the disconnects will be enough to push them to voice their opinion as well.

They can ban me if they wish but it will no longer affect anything as I have quit the game. A sad state, really. I was so excited about this game when the teaser trailer came out years ago and I stuck with it holding onto this naive notion that they may pull through and make something worth paying for. Too bad the game never made it.

Yup. It's just a range increase... Just like EVERY OTHER weapon received. You should be glad it's not a speed buff. Hell. As far as long range weapons go they have one the shortest. Most weapons can deal damage well beyond 1200m.

Good lord. First it's "My games suck I keep losing against higher skilled players" .. Now they fix it to make it a well rounded experience by choosing ELO first, and now "I can't play skirmish % 100 of the time?!? **** this I'll just quit games until I get what I want"
If you can't handle a simple objective based game how on earth do play any other game ever??? 3/4 of the Assault and Conquest games I play turn into Skirmish anyway....
Man being a developer would suck... As you can see they're honestly trying now and trying to choose democratic ideas from the community. Give it a rest this is a F2P platform not a multi million dollar franchise like Activision or EA.

Anyways as far the patch goes I look forward to trying it all out.

No, It should only say XP Earned. GXP is your general experience (a percentage of the XP earned in a match). This should be just XP (Mech Specific) It may have been showing GXP for a while (I just noticed myself).

You are oh so wrong.
By being forced to play a game mode we do not want we have no choice. So you do not want us to play it so we DC or quit or suicide then everybody is mad and PGI keeps gettings complaints game play is terrible for everyone and PGI has no option but to allow to once again choose Or mode of Combat. They put in the choice for mode in the first place becuase to many people threaten to quit becuase they didn't like X Mode. PGI just needs to stop making the same mistakes over and over again.

I never said you disconneted without explaining. I said you disconnected and that's what is not acceptable. Give all the reasons you want. It doesn't excuse you bailing on 23 other people.

That's my opinion and lucky for me it coincides with the CoC.

I flat out refuse to accept your assertion that PGI made you do it. I think that is a childish, cowardly excuse. The only one responsible for your actions is you. You pressed the launch button. You left 23 other innocent people in a lurch. The fact that you were angry at PGI at the time does not excuse your actions even a little.

And you fail to see that you're hurting your fellow players to get what you want. Know what wouldn't hurt other players? Not pressing the launch button. If 90% of the playerbase just dropped off the planet for 2 days PGI would take notice. If 90% of the playerbase who have never posted before show up and slam the forums they'll take notice.

You have other alternatives that don't negatively impact your fellow players available to you and you aren't making use of them. Hurting other people to get your way isn't acceptable behavior. That's my belief and there isn't anything you can say that will convince me otherwise.
