I always stick around.

Usually, the reason is because I dropped in a favorite mech and want to keep dropping, or I'll do the "dead guy talking" thing and help out a new player/my team by reporting enemy positions (while the person I'm observing from is busy shooting or getting shot).

Also, you can pick up on things sticking around - builds, tactics, methods of piloting...

This, plus I want to earn all of the assists I'm due. If you exit early you don't get assists for any enemies that have not yet died when you exit.

@OP

Learned great builds and play styles by watching.... why leave when you can learn so much from watching?

Half way point of the match, be it the clock, kills or conquest points, determines if I stay. If I die early in the match, generally won't stick around, if die towards the end if my side looks like it will win I'll likely stay.

There are great builds and play styles?

Wow...to hear the critics talk, there's only the meta.

I play old school, not alpha mwo, but chain firig and several non alpha groups... so yeah, plenty of good builds out there outside of meta.

Do you stick around or bail?

I don't waste time watching, if I kick the bucket I go pick another mech and play another round.

Depends, solo droppin I exit as soon as I die and drop in my next mech unless the match is vey close to the end.

When I am with a group I always stay to the end to see how everybody did.

I stick around. I like to check out the builds players are using, and it's fun to watch good pilots do their thing.

It depends on my mood, how the match was going until until my death, how long the match has been on, and whether or not I feel like playing any other mechs.

Depends on the night and my attitude. I stick around more often than not because I'm trying to raise a specific chassis (I rarely play for just the fun of it anymore) and variant...if I have multiple variants to work on and I feel like I'm in a rush I'll exit and launch in the next one. My performance in the individual variants determines how long it takes to get to Elite on them.

Though that's just my grind style, play a chassis to elite, move to the next. Once I'm done with all the ones I own at elite, I'll go through starting at the lightest of the light and get them all to master up through the assaults. I own 101 mechs now so that'll take awhile...

Depends, usually if its a good match I'll stay, but if its a stomp either way, no.

Looks like a lot of people stick for the same reasons. I use to stick around and try to help out but got frustrated with the pugs. You either had those dead guys insulting their team for their death or you would try to help only to have the guys ignore you.

It depends on situations.
If I saw a pilot with a mech I'm interest in, I'll watch its loadout, its weapongroups, engine, ecc.
The same if I see a good mechwarrior.
There are always interesting things.

Anyway when I die, it's quite always at the end of the match :P

I stick around for learning purposes... maybe to see how people group their weapons.. playstyle with certain mech setups.... or just to see my rewards at the end of a very good match to make my epeen feel better ;)

I stick around - there are times someone on the team pulls a move that I did not know was possible. And hence I incorporate that method if at all possible.
