Because some dumb kids don't like to do tactics.
Some good reasons for it.
Better matchmaking
Less idiotic amount of Assaault / heavy overload
And less clans
And better and more conquest for those that want all modes.
Weak crumble.
PS: give more cbills for conquest grinding, that would help.

Hmm, short lived. I found the games were actually fine and did seem more balanced.. ..now if only the voting option included the option to exclude 1 game type....

The problem is no one wants to play conquest. Forcing people to play conquest doesnt make them want to play it.
What PGI needs to do is FIX conquest so players WANT to play it.
1) better rewards for capping
2) lower cap time to 60-90 seconds at most

You should consider leaving the soft mode for the group queue and implement the hard (or hybrid) mode for the solo queue only. Teamwork should trump or help overcome the coordination issues association with Conquest mode. Something that understandably is harder to coordinate on the solo queue.
