I'm offended by these 666s and talk of this norse blasphemy.

I demand a flying spagetti monster hero mech.

+1 for Flying Spaghetti Monster camo

And if we can get a Yeti camo to represent those of us in the Church of the Sub-genius ...that would prevent me from calling the ACLU on you.

JR Bob Dobbs demands it to be so.

After looking at the patterns for a while I would have to guess at the Norns, the ropes symbolizing the tangled strings of fate.

As for religion, I think I will avoid the topic and keep my thoughts to myself. Studying the mythology of past religions is fun, discussing current ones, not so much.

I find the Atlas AS7-S quite creepy with a monacle. I hope someday that 'mech customization is made available in a way that I can swap its head for something like what the other Atlases have in MWO (or even a TRO: 3025 head!).

I am also bummed out that the Centurion loses its missile doors :(

Never the less, I'm looking forward to receiving both 'mechs :)

i prefer the old centurion.. there seemed to be so much more attention to detail with that model, bay doors and everything. as we get more mechs, i guess it becomes unrealistic to expect the same level of attention paid to each one..

The cold electronic monocle with the scarred glowing eye is not creepy at all. :P

This was a very quick and dirty mockup, but this is how I suspect the Centurion CN9-A (yes the A)'s left torso missiles may wind up.

Posted Image
Note: Despite the 'size' of the 'X' hatch which I suspect is akin to the Trebuchet, Catapult, Atlas, and numerous Clan mech 'X' hatches where weapons could be but aren't occupying the whole space... it's likely that it will be 5 columns of 4 (5x4 = 20 tubes) max rather than the one lone tube as I made it (that or akin to how I did it but 15 tubes max) per module, with two forming along the left torso. A third might be shoulder mounted, protected from the side by the shoulder pauldron.

There's at least two canon Battletech units that have Angels painted on their mechs.

Which is associated with their unit names and not religion.

I know Avanti's Angels is one of them. Double Blind is a good book.

But I meant on the forums.

If you paint a Hellslinger all white, it looks like a Yeti

I prefer that artwork to the random geometry look of the LaMalinche (wasn't he in Don Quixote?) and Boars Head, it's more like the pinup art on WW2 fighter plane or the masthead of Renaissance Galleon. I'm very pro-character paint jobs.

Will that Atlas have an energy hardpoint in the head? that is important.

Pssst.

If youre offended by something, the problem is you, not the offensive material.

Yes, it is certainly the fault of a Jew that underwent N@zi persecution to find a swastika and SS emblem offensive. Just as an example.

Well, that kind of makes sense. However... when you really consider that, it would be nice to get back a quirk for that. Even a 5% damage resistance bonus on the missile LT should be inline with the pseudo-benefits provided by the missile bay door (it's not perfect obviously).

Or they could have simply made tubes that fit in the torso, be it 5 or 30, and one large door to cover them, regardless. But that's crazy talk.

False equivocation. SS were real not magic sky people

Yes, but let us not speak of the Catapult like that. :(

Read the statement it was in reply too. Unequivocal statement is false. Example proves it.

Nah, they can't put naked chicks in their camos. I don't really need to explain why, do I?
