Splitting the queue by another group size restriction would make for even more problems with MM. Potentially could leave some groups to never find a match or presumably to time out (4min) and have MM restriction lifted every game. Heck that happens all the time now with high elo groups who cannot be matched.

So say you do put restrictions to segregate 12 mans. Then what? When no one wants to run 12 mans cause of MM issues or restrictions on them to find matches... it will be 10 man groups. Then we start seeing these threads about 10 man groups and so on. Cause 10 high elo grouped players will be just as dominant in that queue.

I mostly solo but adding more restrictions to MM seems like a bad idea. It is already long wait times and a mixed bag regardless of what queue you are in and I would wager it is because the small player base to form matches at a given time.

Really the best solution to this problem is player base growth. Hopefully with the development of the game moving forward and the start of marketing by PGI (said to increase after CW release) will help bring in some new players. More in the pool for MM to work with will allow better matches. Right now it is in a stage of growing pains and all these MM changes are just half measures. Leave well enough alone for the moment.

My 2 cents and I understand people will disagree.

The irony of people complaining about people playing a team game as a team is comical. If you don't like it there are plenty of units looking for good pilots and if that's not your thing plenty of TS servers open to the public where you can pick up a group to play with. It's a TEAM game people..............

I have thought about the Group size thing, and I was thinking...

Any Group 8 or larger should be in the same Que (meaning 8 and higher could face 12 mans)
OR have a different option for smaller groups.. Example Below

I hear people talking about a "Mixed Bag" Group Que.
Anything under 8 mans could have the option to click a "Mixed Bag" option and be against teams of 7 man and under.
Team #1= 2 man, 3 man, 2 man VERSUS Team #2= 7 Man or any other combination

I understand that 7 mans could still roam the "Mixed Bag" Que, and that would probably happen.
Still allowing smaller groups to join the other Group Que (12 man possible) would be part of it as well.

2 options for Group Que = Normal Group Que (all can join) or Mixed Bag Group que (7 and under only)

Not saying it's the best idea, but it sems like the only way to move forward to make all the people that run smaller groups happy and still paying and playing.

How about we stop crying about MM and Queues until CW comes out?
No matter what change is made right now - everything will need to be reconsidered after people are fighting over territory.

It really amazes me how short-sighted everyone seems to be around here. It is threads like this that have plagued MWO since Beta. People constantly sending the Devs chasing Squirrels. It doesn't matter in the slightest if the OP of these threads has a point or not - that point becomes moot as soon as CW is released.

+1 ^^ CW gonna change the whole dynamic not to mention changes should not be made based on a whole bunch of forum whining but rather on enough concrete statistical data.
