Epic Epic Epic Epic

When will the mechs be injected?

The plan was around January, 2015.

So for 80$ we actually get 5 mechs, 3 variants each, plus all the other stuff?

PANTS SH*T

And an Atlas S.

Russ, I don't know just how busy the whole team is, but isn't it about time you guys updated your Media section with all the concept art of the Clan Mechs and a few missing Inner Sphere Mechs? I'm not really inspired to buy a new Mech package based off of small, nearly thumbnail images. There was a time I would stare in wonder at the artwork put up in the media section. There hasn't been a reason to visit it in months. Those images drove me to want certain Mechs, and your company has let slide a very appealing sales tool in the process.

This! ^

Personally we should get the Black Knight as a bonus with this pack like the Maddog with the clan pack.

To qualify for the Atlas S you just need to have bought any previous package but I see now that we may need to extend the Loyalty program for the Atlas a little longer - perhaps until the end of Oct.

I love you.

As far as the Enforcer goes, i'm extremely happy to see it get added, and I think the best route would be to stay cannon, and just make the "Daniel" a regular loadout, or use the reference in Daniel's description to the original Enforcer using 2 medium lasers in place of the large laser.

Should be, only if someone bought the highest version of the Phoenix pack...

Kind of like the Mad Dog for the clans.

Well, the no joint shoulder cones bolted deep into the torso look was unique to MW4. The look i was going for was based more on the ol' TRO art which does show more of a clear joint amidst the should cones

Additionally the fins from mechcommander 2 are technically unique to a later in the timeline high tech version of the zeus and were not present on earlier variants.

Yes, yes, yes!

And BTW, Alex, great work on the Panther! That cockpit is amazing.
I hope you will have a chance someday to make a great Wolfhound too.

Aahhh, really wish I could buy into this. Also, reaaallly feel like I can't right now.

It's not the price. The price is good! Same as a full trip to the grocery store. That's kinda part of the problem.

It's not the content. I'd love to get my hands on all of that! It's great value for money! That's another part of the problem.

See, I already bought into the clan pack. I already paid in 120$ for content that's yet to start being delivered, and won't be fully delivered until December. Alright, I knew that when I bought in, But: I've already paid the price of two AAA video games for undelivered content, can I justify another 1 and 1/3 video game's worth on more undelivered content? It's not the expense, it's that it feels really stupid of me to just keep spending like that, especially on just the one game. Now add to this that this second pack, to me, is actually kinda better value for money than the clan pack- six faction content bits (possibly including their attendant colors) and the same number of 'mechs for 2/3rds the price? I think, if they'd been offered at the same time, it might've made more sense to go with only the IS pack and leave the Clan pack alone. Now I wouldn't ask for a refund as I consider that money gone and well spent, I remain quite pleased with the idea of what I've already bought, it's that the choice isn't one I had at the time, and I'm kicking myself for buying in early and not adopting a wait-and-see attitude. It's just a lesson not to purchase these packs so quickly in the future, lest I corner myself with more irresponsible spending. If I'd had the choice between them, I might've gone either way, but I'd already made that decision before I knew I was making it.

If this pack had gone on sale in late December, it is possible that I could've used the length of time between my spending the Clan sum and the initial delivery of that content (nov 4th), along with the successful completion of the delivery of clan content to justify paying in again, for content in the next year. But by offering them concurrently like this I really do feel locked into a "one or the other" mentality that's already locked me out of what's being offered here- and that's my fault, I was stupid and overeager and preordered way too early, I admit that's my mistake and I won't make it again, I will keep the possibility of concurrent packs in mind in the future to hopefully make more responsible entertainment decisions- I would just ask you give a little more forewarning in the future about when packs are planned to be offered and which preorder periods will be overlapping to make it easier to plan out my purchases in advance.

Looks fabulous! Love the Grasshopper concept. Looking forward to more IS mechs, I'm kinda bored with mine at the moment and not very interested in the Clans.

One question, will one of each be a Hero-type with a c-bill bonus like the Phoenix pack?

Well always nice to see new mechs entering the game, but I will have to pass on these since I just invested in the Clan pack and well to be honest, unless the stick a Marauder in somewhere, there is no real reason to buy IS mechs as a Clanner at least not if you plan on being part of CW. Real boon to IS players though as they do for the most part they seem to be very solid IS mech choices, probably about the best I have seen in a pack yet.

Might have to pick up a few of them via C-bills though just to pug around with.

I mostly like/want the Zeus.

Since this one doesn't have any that I dislike. I am considering getting the full pack of all 4. I would have done the same with the Phoenix pack if it wasn't for the Thunderbolt.

My apologies if this double-posts, I've gotten some very odd behavior on hitting "add reply" and had to navigate back to the page.

Full variant details will be provided on Wednesday when the package is made available for purchase.

Please give one of the Panther's variant an ECM hardpoint. It will make it a decent sniper. And it's the least you can do to help that slow mech.

In case anyone is arguing the Panther has no ECM, the only mech in the game that really has ECM canonically is the Raven 3L. There is a Firestarter variant with ECM, but it was not included to the game (probably because the Firestarter is already too powerful). So giving an ECM to the Panther would not be rule breaking (and you should someday release a Locust ECM-capable variant, Russ).

The Zeus's side torsos are much too large in the concept art. The shoulder actuators should overlap the side torsos more. Just trying to avoid Awesome barn broadside II modeling. It was a big headache for two years and is still a problem as you can't use an XL engine in the Awesome now.

can someone tell me more about the panther, enforcer, and grasshopper?

I was cought offguard by the light and heavy mech.

I thought it was gonna be an urban mech or a flea and black knight due to how unique it is and it being an IS 75 tonner.

I know a tiny bit about panther but I am curious on anything standing out amongst the 3 mechs I have issues with? and also variants... I know the enforcer only has 2.
