The way my wife has me trained think going for the 45% off Shadow hawks and a cool camo pattern makes more sense.

To qualify for the Atlas S you just need to have bought any previous package but I see now that we may need to extend the Loyalty program for the Atlas a little longer - perhaps until the end of Oct.
Great news Russ... but I'm hoping this won't delay us getting our atlas'

Zeus - will suck for the same reasons the Awesome and Battlemasters are really only piloted by fans who love them from lore. Big, slow, easy to hit, easily overheated, easy to kill.
Grasshopper - dumbest choice possible. A jumper with subpar weapons loadouts compared to the CTF-3D. Why... why would it be considered at a time we need an IS mech 75Ter to compete against timberwolves?
Panther - a 68kph light. A 68kph light. Nothing more needs to be said.
But, if i were to say more i'd also have to point out the horrendous weapons hardpoints that essentially limits it to 1 energy and 2 srms. Slow and underpowered... a surefire recipe for fun. lol
Getting the King Crab was a good reason to buy in too... until i realized i currently have unbasic'd Stalkers, Battlemasters and Direwolves waiting in my garage because the game Qs are always ALWAYS sitting at 35+% assaults and the wait times are horrendous so i never get to play them. Buying the full pack would just give me 2 more assaults i can never play enough to master. Sad, really. Stupid broken playerbase.

I agree on the Zeus, but not the Battlemaster. Have you ever run a WubMaster, or a 1S LRM boat? Some of the best in their class! The Zeus can be saved with some clever hardpoints and hitboxes.

I don't agree with this one. The first Zombie Heavy, with jump capability? Sign me up! It's looking slimmer than the CTF too, so it should hopefully have favorable hitboxes. Nothing will ever compete with the Timber God. It's simply a broken mech that needs nerfed. It SHOULD NOT have jump jets.

Like all IS mechs, I'm sure PGI will allow us to change the engine greatly. I can forsee the Panther becoming something like a Vindicator, but hopefully faster and less mediocre. I definitely agree with you though, the Panther will need help.

Yeah, I can't disagree with you there. You should thank all those pilots who take one for the team and run Mediums and Lights. Everyone wants to be a big stompy mech. No one cares for grace and speed. Silly ppl.
I'll probably get the whole pack for CW. I can see most of these, especially the Enforcer and Grasshopper, being a great answer to those saying the Clans are more suited to CW.

Hopefully the quirks will change the usefulness of the lights and mediums and drive more players toward those mechs. I've never had a problem with queue times though, I just tab over to Chrome if it takes longer than 30 seconds.

Fix those and they will be squishier than a catapult.

Yeah, that would help. It can still spread damage too easily though. The bigger issue is the broken jump jet animation that throws off everything. Just remove the JJs from Timbers -> Problem solved. Much complaining from the tryhard crowd will ensue. Then they will just have to shut up or try another mech.

- I like the Battlemasters, but just find they die a little too easily compared to other heavies and assaults.
- Jump-sniping is nearly dead. Introducing the grasshopper now is... pointless. It's a lesser mech than those we already have in the IS, at a time we need something infinitely better. Unless the hitboxes are borked, it being slimmer than the CTF is a non-factor. The summoner is slimmer than the timberwolf... yet it falls apart under half the fire that the timberwolf can walk out of unscathed. The width of a mech that moves slower than 100kph doesn't matter one iota to its survivability.
It's a zombie with missiles, correct? I guess it remains to be seen how viable that is, but somehow i doubt that's going to jump it from a T3 heavy, which is where i place it behind the T1 CTF and T1/T2 JM6 2xAC20 or 2xGauss.
- You're right, they could break lore/sarna and open up the engine limits on the Panther, which would go a long way to improving its viability. I would definitely wait to buy until that is confirmed 100% though.
