Replacing people's own posts with your own text isn't helping your cause just saying.

Guess I should listen to the expert on the matter then, shouldn't I.

Great job, PGI, on messing up the Kit Fix-S's left torso by adding two useless FIXED double heat sinks (2 tons and 4 slots), forcing me to drop a machine gun and its ammo. I paid real money for that mech, and now it's royally screwed up because you just could not leave it alone.

What's the point of Clan omni technology is everything is fixed on its chassis? Engines? Jump jets? Heat sinks? Armor? Structure?

Well done. Well done.

No, it's ruined because of the suddenly fixed jump jets (which I don't want on this mech) and double heat sinks, killing its flexibility, which is what omni technology is supposed to be all about.

The only thing that changed was the addition of fixed jump jets.

1 in each S torso.
It already had fixed DHS from the point you bought it.
That hasn't changed.

Previously this meant all you could fit in the Left Torso was a C Machine Gun or CUAC2.
The Right you could fit an MG, CUAC2, CUAC5, CUAC10, CLBX2, CLBX5 or CLBX10 in.

Now you lose the Lefts CUAC2 and the rights CLBX10.

Yes that's a shame, but honestly - what else are you running that you can't possibly fit the Machine Gun in the Left Torso?

Hell, for me, sure I lost the 2xCUAC2 build, but otherwise I really only had to move placement of some gear to fix it.

The fixed DHS has always been there, form the first day ...
The only thing they hadded was the JJs, one per torso and there still is room for the mg there.

None of my KFTs build has changed with the fixed jjs, maybe 1/2 ton of ammo less on my lbx-5 build and that's it.

And yes, the balancing factor of the omni-tech is that most equip and upgrades are fixed, to avoid it from being utterly broken.

Apprehensive about UI going to Home instead of Mechbay, but we'll see how that turns out, might not be so bad.

I've given some time to consider this and I've decided I'm completely against it - this isn't the ideal behaviour. See this thread for discussion: http://mwomercs.com/...99#entry3852899
