I think theyre great. No idea what the ingame results will be, but on paper they look great. Really creative. I think many expected the narc and tag and some cbill adjustments, but the lance formations, the protections, the scouting, all very creative. Big thumbs up in that regard.

Id love to see what else you guys can come up with even if it has some really small payouts.

More fluff is always great especially when it comes to tracking your performance and accomplishments. There are clearly alot of achievements that can be based on these.

If its more than fluff, thats great too...but dont stop in this part of the game, this is really good.

Also wanted to give special mention to the differentiating between tagging, and stealth tagging.

Thats just ingeniously cool.

I did make one down in the nethers "How about them rewards".

I did squeal a bit at the lance formation bonus, definately steps in the right direction

I am very excited about the TAG bonus, just a little worried about two seconds of continuous painting required for the reward.

Too early to comment. I want to see in game what rewards trigger and how often and what my end c-bill result is.

Rewards 2.0 looks really, really good.

I'll reserve judgement for when I've tried them out, but if it's as good as it looks I'll buy a $80 IS reinforcement pack tomorrow.

Totally understandable. A net boon in cbills is what were all hoping for.

I just was really impressed with the creativity. Its not just a list of Call of Duty scoring parameters....captured the flag...killed the guy killing your team mate...killed an enemy near the flag....*yawn*

Theres some great promise there. I definitely want to encourage them to keep being creative.

I do now want to see if PGI can maybe give us a HUD opacity setting and a REWARDS opacity setting (or a general messages opacity setting)

Just incase these things kick off so often theyre spamming my screen you know? I like to see them, but maybe I dont want to see them at no opacity, or the same opacity as my HUD.

Im a little concerned about the Lance rewards though,

I dont play competative at all but in my head a group of 3 LRM mechs with 1 light scout tag/narc mech would make sense (if LRM's were actually used....)
but in that case none of them would get the lance bonus.

maybe they should add a bonus for concentrated fire if you and X# of your lance mates fire on the same target you get a bonus, maybe increase it based on # of lance mates firing on it.

Those rewards look amazing. I'm super excited to try it out. I think they implemented this very cleverly as well. They said these were running in the background for many weeks before enabling them live, and assigning a good value to each.

Cool. More like Brink's approach, reward people more for doing things they don't usually gravitate towards. I think it's very cool that there are rewards made to track how much damage you're able to avoid. Also, lights and mediums pretty much get automatic bonuses just for sticking around teammates! Who woulda thunk it?

Lance bonus seems geared towards the heavies and assaults. Those are the guys who stick together. But they wont benefit from all the narc/tag/scout/spot related rewards.

Both ends of the spectrum got something, and mediums can tag both ends if they so choose.

After the first drop, first impressions:

* It's fun to see rewards of all kinds pop up on the HUD.
* It's great to be rewarded for being scouty and sneaky when driving a light
* It works out to about the same rewards per match as pre-patch.

well having just played my first Spider light on the new reward system, id have to say it sucks,
got reward after reward onscreen and at the end of the game I only got 150 so points
Used to get a lot more on the old system.
And that is no reward at all.
But its early days, So

That's with the same playstyle, yeah? What happens when you start trying to FARM those specific rewards? Paydirt? ;)

First game impressions:

Played as a Raven 3L 2x ERLL ECM

The constant scrolling of rewards is intense. Lance formation, protecting lights, spotting, hit and run, its crazy, I do actually want a setting to adjust that opacity..its constant.

Its freaking awesome. Its all anyone was talking about. Had two Cent-AHs on my team, those are just beautiful, tho with the one AC10 looks like a gimp hand lol.

At the end of the match had 2 kills, 398 damage, 6 assists, and 145k cbills, no premium.

Very happy.

Im not space rich, its actually not much more in total than before. But being scored based on all that performance, truly awesome. And the constant tick of feed back of what youre doing. Also great. Clear indication youre doing the right thing when its happening every few seconds.

Flanking seems handed out like candy tho. I got that a bunch without doing anything id consider as "flanking".

Not a bad thing. It was really nice. And it did pop alot of the time when im popping up from the side of "the horde" and getting some hits. Immersive there.
