Ye, I planed these, since I heard from the reward news: CN9-AH or CN9-AH

(Least, will use that thing, when I have enough free money for the upgrades...)

I guess, these will be some another builds, that I will use exlusively... as always... nvm...

Im using this and its proving to be very successful despite usually hating lrm builds. This my build but id recomend using the 200 xl rather than the 210 frees up another ton of ammo:

Since I have other Cents, it's no point in running the AH with anything but an AC20 and a couple SRMs. Since all the weapons require ammo, I went with the 2xsrm4 instead of 3xsrm4 as those 2 extra tons are often needed in any match that are somewhat even. And I run with an XL260 I already had, since I'm too cheap to get the XL265.

Oddly, I'm experimenting with stock variant:

Give it Endo and DHS, of course, swap the LRM 10 for 2 LRM 5's to free up 1 ton, and spend the free tonnage on ammo and armor. It's not great, but it can function at all ranges, which counts.

The default Stormcrow with LRMs also has a NARC. At 100 kph, it can use the NARC pretty well to pop someone and then get behind cover to bombard them.

AH can do the same with 3 missile hardpoints.

(I'm not using it for that because I have the stormcrow, I'm doing the boring AC20+SRM build)

That is a very non-optimal way to build a mech that has high levels of pin point damage.

This is the build I finally settled on. Mostly stock, just tuned up a bit:

200STD, AC/20, 2xLRM5

That's exactly what I'm running, though I have 3 tons of ammo each, not 4 and 2. It is not a devastating mech, but it keeps pressure on from the beginning of the match (LRM's) to the end (AC20). It also tends to get cheap, random kills with the AC20, so it's not uncommon to score low damage but get 2 kills and a win.

Not a great mech, but rather a different one.

I actually had a quite good (for me at least) match just this morning with it. Ended with 3 rounds of AC20 left and 40 LRMs:

I'm glad I put that fourth ton of AC ammo on, I ended the match by putting three rounds through a Catapult's side!

Yeah, but if you lose both legs, you won't have any ac20 ammo left!

That arm is for an AC20, I think the AH loses its reasson to be if you don't strap one on the arm, which basically leaves you with 3 questions:
What type of SRMs to use.
How much ammo can I get.
Engine size.

XL275 and 3xsSRM2/3xSRM2/3xSRM4 + AC20 are all solid builds with varying ammounts of ammo and/or engine tweaking.

The whole point of the AH is the AC20 arm. The 3xMG/3xSRM6 build is strong, but I'd rather run the CN9-A for SRM brawling with its ability to shield with the entire right side and left arm

Will always run AC20/XL engine on the AH. It can't zombie anyway w/o the CT lasers

That's like a little brother to my favorite Atlas build, 2xLBX10 + 3xSRM6

Wrong. That arm is worth more for 3 ballistic points than it is for the space for one lousy AC20 (which IMO is a sub-par weapon on its tod). 3xAC/2 giving five rounds rapid strapped to a huge XL engine is terrifying to more than just other mediums, for instance.

If you must go with a STD engine, why not go for this: Ballistic Zombie?

Edit: I figured a way to cram an AMS in there even, if you can live with just a smidgen less armor and speed.

Neither one of those builds uses an AC/20. If I wanted to use a smaller autocannon I'd do it on the -A or -D.

I am having some decent matches (350-450) with an AC10 build, which in my opinion is not too bad for IS meds these days:

Endo+DHS
XL275
AC10 (4 tons)
3XSRM4 (2 tons)

Run it with SRM 4 cooldown and extended AC10 range.

It is prone to ammo shortages, but that is the story with this chassis. I do like that the AC10 and module allow to engage at longer range than AC20+SRM. Rate of fire is nice. Still packs a nice punch in tight. Admittedly, while she can put up low 400s fairly consistently, I'm having trouble breaking 500 as often as I would like.

try a single uac with 3-4 tons of ammo and more srm ammo

Plink with the uac at the start of the match, when you got about 30-40 rounds left, start brawling.
I usually run my cent d like that.
