Otherwise, if you your team did win... Go to the contest page and click on the mech type you are using and scroll down to the bottom of that field and I guess it's supposed to show where you stand. But it updates every 15 minutes. So you may have to wait.

To say I'm slightly pissed at seeing good damage/kill scores invalided as the team collaspes is an under statement
I've not seen so many rolls for, or so many dumb solo charges for ages
do team stuff or pure solo
I've had some of my best matches and by that I don't mean my kill streaks but rather genuinely good games this weekend. I put it down to the amount of good players out there. I'm currently #16 in the T-bolt leaderboard and I seem to get matched against many of the other top ranked players leading to interesting games almost completely lacking in noobs.
It'll be interesting to see if they do this again after the quirk pass

People as solo players in a solo contest are really having great games. But then it doesn't count because the team you are forced to play with does not play as a team lol.
Was in a game where I died early on because of the horrid lag. But one guy on my team ended up being the last guy left on our team, had 10 assists, 7 kills and a bunch of other points for savior kills and so on. And it came down to him and 2 enemy and he was killed. Probably the best game I have seen from one guy in a log time and it was all for nothing because our team lost.

This is how u can get the top 1-5..
Just awesome PGI !!!
LRMs are horable to compete if that's all your carrying. You rarely have full control of your own kills or damage due to so many other functions. I doubt any of the top 5 on any build relied on LRMS solely.

Log in, and then look at the lists. Only wins score, so if you don't have a win, you won't have a score.

So very frustrating and disappointing to grind out all weekend, have some amazing matches, good damage, good teamwork by a few, good assists, etc, then still lose and have nothing count due to some pugs not knowing about/caring about a tourney going on.
Also feels like there's no way to win on a US time zone, since every time you sleep, you drop down the list, and whoever has the last timezone of the tourney has a huge advantage. They can wait and see where everyone lands, then grind their own score to the top of the list, and stop, knowing no one else has time to catch up. Any timezone but the last one before the tourney ends has the disadvantage of knowing that their score can just be forced down the list by whoever comes next. Kind of feels like what could have been a fun tourney is just a bit of abuse....you want to have a chance at winning? Don't sleep all weekend, or have the best luck with PUGs ever imaginable.
Guess my biggest wish is just that any event where your own score is less important than how poorly your pugs do, you got a bigger prize, since you're entirely relying on pugs...so if you can manage to herd those cats, and still get a good personal score, you deserve something for it. Otherwise, just take the wins out of the equation, so it's actually based on pilot skill, and not luck of the draw, and we can have an enjoyable tourney for once.

CBills based on your rank would be nice. Maybe 12,000,000 for #1, and have it trickle down with a curve. #10 would get 10,000,000, #20 gets 8,000,000, #40 gets 6,000,000, etc.

800 damage? 6 kills? To bad! Your team sucks and you lose! NO POINTS 4 U!!

Now if we had TS3 as part of the game, everyone knew it was a team game, and there were penalties built in for hurting your team's chance of winning, ok, make team wins more important, but right now, with the state of PUGs in this game...this really is a challenge that seems designed to annoy the piss out of anyone trying to make top 10. Do you really want your players to feel as though the game they play for fun is work? These sorts of event promote that...either work harder than you ever did at a real job, or don't bother, since skill has little to do with it, based on the scoring algorithm.

I disagree. The point of wins is that it promotes teamwork over showing up your teammates. Some tactics that get you more kills, assists, and damage don't also help your team win, and that's frustrating to everyone.
As I've said several times, when you play with a group that plays as a team, you tend to score better anyway. Teammates help you live longer, help wear down your kills, and kill other things to give you assists. It's a lot easier to kick butt and take names when there's 3 teammates next to you prividing fire support and meat shields.

(Kills*20)+(Assists*10)+((Damage done - Team Damage done)/15)+(Wins*20)
If they made it Team Damage - Damage/15, then you still get less points for doing more damage. The best way would be:
(Kills*20)+(Assists*10)+((Team Damage/Damage)*200)+(Wins*20)
Maybe you guys have already caught this.
