There is a clarification I would like PGI to make regarding game mechanics. How will synergy bonus between quirks and modules apply? For example, a PPC has a basic range of 540 m. An AWS-8Q has accumulated bonus for PPC range 25%. If a PPC range module is present, how will the range formula applies?

Case 1

[540 m (basic range) * 1.25 (quirk bonus)]+ 54 m (from module) = 729 m

or

Case 2

[540 m (basic range) + 54 m (from module)] * 1.25 (quirk bonus) = 742.5 m

Really liking the direction
These are looking really good.

Won't be as easy to slowly step out of the way of the plasma (Star Trek) like torpedo PPC shots once this is in effect. Good for those PPC shooters. Bad for me.. But a tweak IMO was badly needed.
Yaha for Pulse improvements. Maybe my 7k Wolverine will getting back to a pulse variant.

And I'm just going off Smurfy stats here, but Impulse is a number representing screen shake right? If I'm right why on earth does the LRM5 have the same value (.30) as an LRM20?!? Screen shake and the on-screen explosions should be reduced alot for LRM5 and scaled up from LRM5 to LRM20. I'm not saying reduce damage but bring the LRM5 vomit effectiveness down.

This is either your cockpit camera beeing affected by OP ECM, or that mech just hot a Naval (spaceship) weapon to destroy the map :)

It is going to be 12% hotter now. Heat, unlike any other change, effects the entire mech. If your CLPLs are 12% hotter this means your going to hit your heat threshold faster which means every other weapon you mount is going to have to reduce their fire rates to compensate. I would bet overall in rough equivalency, you are loosing about 1 DHS of effective cooling for each CLPL you mount, all for a measly 2 extra damage every 3.25 seconds. Also the beam duration coming down also is going to add to heat because it means you aren't going to have as much cooling time between shots.

The blunt truth is, the extra damage just isn't worth the extra heat especially when the Clan mechs are already running on the hot side.

Shadowhawk and Locust couple seem logical, but wait, we already have one Shadowhawk Hero Mech - Sparky!
So it's going to be something else, I guess. By the way, Grayson Carlyle later went piloting Marauder, and then Victor, one is unseen, another one too has a Hero variant already. But Lory Calmar's late mech was Zeus, if I'm not mistaken.. And November is too soon for that to arrive. So we have to think of another couple =D

As for the changes, sound sweet, but we'll see))
The new map and quirks are the most intriguing.

EDIT. So ashamed.. Sparky is a Griffin, as it was pointed out to me.. and I don't really know how come I mistook one for another...

Looking forward to see how these new changes are all going to play out ...

the bap change is is welcome as well , personally i feel it needs to lock targets faster still,

but hopefully this change will be beneficial and rejustify its tonnage.

Hi Russ. I want to say thank you for the great communication. Lots of of good changes happening and most importantly listening to player base feedback to make changes on the fly. I will be getting a clan or is package soon based on this alone. ;) thanks again.

New Hero 'Mech's – Our next Hero mechs release will be a pair of mechs representing a famous husband and wife in two iconic old school mechs.

Release Date: Nov 18th Patch.


So I though, wow, the Kells. His wife in a wolverine, then wait a second he ran the archer. We can only wish on that.

Next though, so who else ran in other mechs that do not have hero mechs like the shadow hawks and locust. Grayson and Lori Carlyle

Anyway, GREAT to hear Pulse Lasers are finally getting some love! I'm concerned with the LRM damage drop applying to IS + Clan, but I think overall it sounds great.

The SML buff will make the Nova useful again, but still a pale shadow of what it was in older Mechwarrior games.
