Dual Gauss

30 pinpoint from ~800m away isn't something that should be in the game
it's a big reason people want to drive heavies/assaults to the exclusion of everything else; at least those mechs aren't subject to having the armor on their legs/arms/torsos instantly removed

The only thing the charge time did was make it more annoying to use so that the only people who use it are dual Gauss users

"Well how does that work?" I hear you cruelly typing as a reply, Space magic. We got Jesus in a box so why not?
2 awesome suggestions!
If you're looking to remove gauss from the game entirely that is.

Every single weapon in the game needs it's damage reduced.
This isn't halo...
TTK shouldn't be 10 seconds from leaving cover.

I hate those things because they because the easy button incorporating all the threat of the boom plus more and the toughness of a buffed highlander.
Are we gonna negative quirk the King Crab as soon as it gets into the game?

1) At 800m it no longer does 30 damage.
2) If someone hits you at 800m, that's a skillshot. Good on them, next time try cover.
Or moving (I know thats hard)

Explain how youre going to do that for every mech class especially if youre in a group as you will be all firing at the same target. Should all weapons do 1damage?

People pilot these mechs because this game is only TDM. Also, since there are three mechs with high alpha's running around now, armor and internal HP counters high alphas.

oh, give me a break. It's 30 at 720m, and a fraction of a point of damage less at 800.
it's because of the absolute need to 'try cover' that people play so passively; you have to be ultra careful even at extreme range, lest you get a ST blown out in one or two shots. It's dumb.

To the players that think "scripting" or "macros" in relation to gauss rifles in this game are an issue, please stop QQing. I'm certain competitive players don't bother using a macro to sync gauss/ppc shots because it gives less control over your shots. You can't cancel a macro or script after u start the charging process, real players know when to save their gauss ammo/cooldown when they charge their gauss and don't have a good shot. When they first introduced the gauss charging mechanic it took me all of 10 minutes of practicing in the training grounds to get the sync timing down correctly. It really isn't that hard and a macro or script hurts the player more than it gives any real advantages.
Please stop complaining about non-issues. Dual gauss, while powerful, is not overpowered at all.
If it were a non-issue, I wouldn't feel like complaining about it now would I?
If it weren't an unfair advantage given only by essentially using software to cheat, I wouldn't be bringing it up at all.
It exists. It isn't right. It isn't "QQing" to come out and say that here in public.
You might as well have said in your post, "I am a dual gauss script user and I think you should just suck it up and let me cheese my way to an unfair advantage if I want to".
I used dual gauss before on some mechs as well, I got used to the charge time as well, I got pretty damn GOOD with it as well (600+ damage games).
I still could NOT compete anywhere close to the people that are blatantly using a script to achieve long-range twitch-sniping bogus ingame.

But I don't need a script to send you home in an escape pod with my gaussapult. haha.
it took many, many years of practice to get as good as I am now. So, er, stop whining n00b?
