I love how people are predicting things...*sigh*
It´s not even in game.

Everyone was so eager to get the o´ so powerful maddog, pre-whining about the "large" CT.......and now it´s the side torso thats easy to kill

As for the Fenris:
Don´t forget this thing will run around at ~142kph once "speed tweaked"....making it the fastest clan mech around for now

I agree. The concept art was WAY better than this in game model. How disappointing.

Man Carrioncrows your redesign of the iceferret looks much better send it into pgi or at least contact them about it. It looks a lot sleeker and gives love to older designs

PGI prefers to implement a complex mechanism (quirks) instead of re-sizing and changing the hitboxes.

Re-sizing hitboxes of many mechs is a non-trivial task, it requires a lot of manhours to do for artists that could be creating new content.

Quirks are much simpler for them to implement and tweak, and while some mechs could do with hitbox redesign, a lot of them need more than just a hitbox pass - which is where the quirks come in.

I was really only defending the fox, adder and nova. the summoner, and pretty much all the ******* wave 2 clan mechs are pretty bad.

Oh wow! When did you get the chance to play all the wave 2 Clan mechs?? Oh thats right you didn't so you cant possibly know. I actually hope they are sub par so it will mean more whenr I smack people around in them, but I doubt they will be, ECM heavy anyone??

Reminds me of the quirk threads right now. People saying the quirks are overpowered and is going to break the game. They are especially coming to this conclusion watching a quirked mech shoot stationary targets that don't shoot back.

Just like the Wave 2 mechs, why don't we actually PLAY with the quirk changes or new clan mechs before we yell the sky is falling.

P.S. I remember when everyone said the Timberwolf will be garbage before it launched (an overdized Catapult with worse hitboxes). Boy were they wrong.

Let's play and test stuff before we judge it's effectiveness.

Besides, lights are already very unpopular (always sub 10% in the queue). Increasing their size would make them extinct.

Lights are unpopular because their play style rather than there being anything wrong with them but I agree, increasing their size wouldn't be a benefit and to be honest, they are actually scaled correctly. The issue is that mediums are scaled incorrectly.

With only 8.5 to 9 tons or so of usable space, I'm not so confident.

To put that in perspective the Adder has about 15.5 to 16 tons, the Kit Fox has about 14.5 to 15 tons.

Kit Fox honestly only has ~10 tons for weaponry (ECM, triple AMS+ammo will eat up 4-5 tons easily) and that's if you decide to skip JJs.

Ice Ferret will be able to carry a pair of Streak 6s and an ERML, that's pretty respectable firepower going at 140kph. Not going to challenge Stormcrows for medium supremacy but I think it'll make a pretty good light hunter-killer.

^^^ Unfortunately it really gets to me that people cant use their imaginatons / be patient enough to test something before they make rediculous claims as too its effectiveness.

Having multiple AMS slots, doesn't mean you need to fill them all - especially when you already have ECM and low tonnage to work with.

But it does make the Kit Fox the premier close-support light mech.

The guys I drop with love my Kit Foxes because they're a potent force multiplier.

in PUGLife, no-one complains about my Kit Fox - Tool Box, triple AMS, ECM and TAG, the assault mechs love me, and I love them, free xp for us both when I'm near by. :)

Adder and the Kit fox are great support mechs. The Kit fox ecm and ams is any assaults best friend. Adder is like having an little pet that sneaks in when they focus on you and stabs them in the shins.
