howdy friends, i just got back to find my timber wolf now weights 79 tons and is invalid. i wanted more missiles on my prime and now it is forcing me to have the maximum amount of jump jets, please fix this bug

It's not a bug, changes to the S side torsos hardlocked the JJ's.

  • OmniPods that provide additional jump jet slots have been changed to automatically include those jump jets as fixed equipment.
    • 'Mechs with these OmniPods equipped may experience invalid loadouts until they are edited in the MechLab.
    • The OmniPods affected are:
      • Kit Fox S: Left Leg, Left Torso, Right Leg, Right Torso.
      • Timber Wolf S: Left Torso, Center Torso, Right Torso.

Yep, all pods with potential JJs now have them locked into service. Unremovable.

there is no longer any possible way to run my favorite load out, i can no longer fit my 3 machine guns on the timber wolf. i thought one of the premises of the mechwarrior franchise was the ability to customize your mech, but now the game has so many restrictions it forces you into a few builds

I'm really not sure what to say outside of if you're running machine guns on a timber wolf, you're doing it wrong.

I am sorry game balance means nothing to you but to others its quite a big deal maybe you can just deal with it.

so the kit fox needed balanced at the same time? Thry screwed up and should have removed the fixed jj on othrr mechs othrr than pulling out the nerf cannon again.

i was running 4 ERML, 4 SRM 6 with artemis, and 3 machine guns

ACTUALLY NOT BECAUSE GHOST HEAT IS SO BAD THAT I NEED ARTEMIS OR ELSE THERE IS NO POINT IN EATING THE GHOST HEAT ON THE SRM FOR A WEAPON THAT JUST SPREADS THE DAMAGE WITH OUT ARTEMIS. DO YOU EVEN BRAWL?

No he is whining because of a pointless change to the Timber Wolf that made his favorite load out invalid. I mean are you guys seriously quoting balance to him because he wanted to be able to mount an extra MG instead of JJs?

Good lord.

I am a clanner at heart, and I saw the necessity of the fixed JJs.

Before that, the TBR was undeniably the "go-to" mech for building any, and every build you wanted on a medium, heavy, or assault.
It is still remarkably versatile, now you have to make a choice between 2 missile pods on a torso (with hardcoded JJS), and one missile pod on a torso without hardcoded JJs.

This is stupid.

4+ ASRM6s? Grab a SCRw, you can load that, and have 3 ERML...and go 106kph.

MGs? Get over it.
