Hello everyone! I am the animating artist behind No Guts No Galaxy's cartoon shorts; All Systems Nominal. Having returned from an extended hiatus of sorts (completing my degree and starting a career)... And with the release of Episode 6 around the corner, I am quite simply, interested in hearing which direction, you the viewers, would like me to take the ASN cartoons.

This can range anywhere from subject matter to release schedules. Whatever you have on your mind, I would love to hear it. I am happy to answer any questions as well. And a big thanks to everyone for the support and patience!

If you are unfamiliar with All Systems Nominal:

We'll be seeing a conclusion to the escapades of the Commando then?

What of Clan Gold mechs getting TK'd at start?

Summoners and Novas with less than sepctacular jump jets?

New Nova pilots alpha striking and unwittingly killing themselves through heat?

You could do a skit of a gold mech "parking in the wrong neighbourhood", say outside a cantina stylised bar, and having various OMNI parts taken away by the local citizens over time. Perhaps then with the pilot coming back to cockpit escape pod and a final one liner: "Well at least they left me the Hula girl".

What I want to see:

Long, complicated plots that take place over a collection of short sketches, each with their own self-contained joke but all contributing to the overall storyline.

Also, a King Crab needs to appear at some point.

Also also, the arrival of the Clan needs to happen (treating them like a biker gang rolling into town, or a group of arrogant banditos in an old Western, riding in like they own the place).

Also also also, the return of SRMs needs to be featured (maybe an old-meta build tanking SRMs like crazy due to all the bugs and HSR problems, then everyone gets a new update, and then an SRM build pops the old-meta-guy in a single volley).

follow a King Crab around as it stomps around an environment looking huge and menacing... then at the end zoom out to show a tiny crab that gets stomped on by accident by a passing locust or other mech.

Love your work. Entertaining especially the pop tarts next to the mechs and the Bagpipes! Loved that!

Love all the episodes including #6 !!! (every episode laugh out loud funny)

Whichever direction you take 'story-wise' with the episodes,

please don't leave an episode / story arc on a cliffhanger and make us wait ages for the conclusion,

I don't mean to complain, it's just your content was so good, and it was torture not knowing when or if the next episode was coming out

The main thing is it's awesome that your back!!! :D

I utilize Photoshop for the backgrounds and ToonBoom Animate Pro to do the bulk of the raw animation, then I bring it into Sony Vegas 11 for editing, and the final render.

Stringing episodes together into a larger narrative was certainly one of the original ideas, and it is something that is still on the table but it still very much under concept development.

King Crab will most certainly be appearing. All mechs within the game will make an appearance at some point, it is just a matter of when and where. I still have plenty of Clan content to work through.

Ooh, that is a toughy. Alex Iglesias has done a fantastic job of reinventing the older designs to look more visually dynamic and interesting. While some chassis designs are more enjoyable and challenging to draw than these, my favorites would be; Atlas, Dragon, Timber Wolf, Mad Dog, and Uziel. …...(and Elementals)

If a Timber Wolf can howl, you can bet a small fortune of C-bills on seeing a rabid Mad Dog in the future.

No worries Almighty Mania, this is a very well deserved criticism. A waiting period of a little over a year or so is indeed far too long a wait. My desire to rectify that issue as quickly as I was able to is why this episode's pacing is a tad on the fast side, it is something I regret but future episodes will be more carefully structured.

Now that Episode 6 is officially released, and many have had a chance to see it, I would like to ask for feedback about the style changes. Pacing of the episode aside, I had attempted to cram more detail into the individual frames. Now this did slow down the animation process a bit, but it is far and away the best looking ASN episode yet. While my skills will steadily improve and I will learn tricks to create animations faster, a big question I would like to ask is;

Would you guys like to see more detailed animation, along the lines of Episode 6, with slightly longer wait times, or would you rather simplified animation that is quicker to produce (previous episodes)?

Perhaps a happy middle ground is the answer, and I am still actively experimenting with different methods.. But I would love to hear what everyone else thinks.

Thank you so much for the wonderful support everyone!
