Thanks again for the work, MadLibrarian. Glad to see you're working on time based tracking. Would be exciting to how much you're actually improving in the game. Probably the number 1 feature I'd like to see added.

I do have another feature quest that hopefully you can add in the future. Would you be able to group stats by chassis? For example, if I want to know my cumulative stats for say the Wolverine (6K+6R+7K).

I probably missed something obvious: saw this in another thread, linked to the madstats.cu.cc site directly, downloaded the IE version, said 'Run Anyway' to the security alert, installed, it said "Needs to close your browser", did that, re-opened browser.

Went to MWO forums, profile, various stats pages but no getting or seein the MadStats icon anywhere. Looking at the top bar, I have MWO Game Media Forums Community Support MC Redeem Online (socials) Profile Logout.

If I enter my Profile, Stats, Challenges etc I just get all the normal PGI stuff, no new buttons.

Is there something I am missing for first-time activation? (I checked in Tools, Manage Add-Ons, it says it is there and enabled.)

Thanks.

(Win11 11.0.96, Windows 7 Home Prem)

Aw crap. Terribly sorry about that. Apparently there's a new error that's preventing the extension from running properly on IE. I wasn't aware of this before, so I'll have to spend some time checking it out. The error messages aren't very clear, but it looks like something in the resources isn't loading properly. I'll have to do some testing.

In the meantime, firefox and chrome should work fine. Sorry again.

I appreciate that. My time has been more crunched lately, but I'll see if I can add that in there when I can. Time based stuff is kind of back burner at the moment. I should have more time next month..

The Firefox version doesn't seem to work, or at least it doesn't work with Waterfox. It says the addon could not be installed "because it is corrupt".

Darnn, I haven't done any testing with Waterfox but I would have assumed it to have worked. Thanks for the info, I'll check into it when I can.

Harmful web site blocked ;-(

Thanks for the report. Is that from the crossrider.com install page? Which site blocker plugin are you using?

I've had to deal with these reports since day one, and I've been looking for evidence of wrongdoing. If it's doing something nefarious, it's hiding itself well.

Unfortunately, there's not much I can do to resolve the situation quickly. The Crossrider platform has been abused by adware makers and is paying the price, but I still haven't seen any evidence that it's the platform itself causing issues. I don't blame anyone for not trusting the extension or myself because I didn't sign the extension and there have been plenty of crossrider extensions reported for spam/spyware installations.

If you're still interested in installing the extension and need help getting around the blocker, PM me and I'll see if I can help.

I think it's almost time to kick crossrider to the curb. I can't really feel good it anymroe. I still haven't actually seen any proof of crossrider directly causing malware, but there is more than enough doubt/possibility for me to want to avoid them. So I'm officially now working toward other options.

Please let me know if you:
Have been experiencing any issues with the extension staying enabled.
Have experienced any malware activity due to this extension.
Are interested in helping with process and/or eventual upkeep/management.
Are interested in making something else and want to see/discuss how I did what I did or some other thing related to programming.
Want to start/continue campaigning for a stats page update.
Have an idea for something else really useful and/or relatively simple to include in the next iteration.

You are all highly encouraged to post here or PM me if you have questions and double-plus encouraged if you have issues.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this might cause to new users.

I finally tried it out and it worked for me. Was your waterfox the latest version?

I tried it again and now it works for me, as well. I've been running the latest version, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

I can't thank you enough for this utillity, MadLibrarian.

Until now, I've been copying and pasting my Mech stats into an Excel spreadsheet in order to calculate which Mechs are my most effective. Suddenly, I can achieve that and more right on the web page! It's brilliant.

I have a suggestion for your consideration. I have some Mechs in which I've only played a couple of matches, but which have crazy good stats. So they "pollute'' my Mech stats because their stats are unrealistic. It would be ideal if I could filter those Mechs out of the list - for example, hiding those where matches played is 20 or less.

Once again, thanks for your great work on this extension.

Thank you or the kind words. I hate that I haven't been able to work on this in so long, but I am again hoping I will be able to soon.

Filtering is currently included, but not enabled by default. You can enable debug mode in the options menu (Icon in center top opens menu, then click options and debug) and test out the less than stable features I was working on. Once you have debug mode active, a filter bar shows up under each column on the table, which can be hidden again by clicking "filter". I recommend reading the 'Help' info to get a better idea of what's possible with the filters. To achieve the result you mentioned, add >20 to the matches column.

You can also see some of the info from the madstats cache in the base stats page, and a full page layout of your mechs on profile page. I don't intend to leave it this way, with one option enabling multiple features, but for now that's just how it is.

There are some minor issues however. If I remember right it was mostly just about the filter bar not hiding properly when using the class filter buttons, but there may be more.

Happy hunting! :)

I rescheduled some **** for this evening. Update incoming!

At least the tourney mods will be enabled again. As long as I don't run into unforeseen problems, There will be a cash counter too. We'll see if I can get any further than that, but I'll push out the tourney stuff in an hour or so.

Addendum: Something else came up (of course!) and I had to stop earlier than I planned. I did get the cash counter going, but it's not very sexy. Nothing for the top tier game, sorry. The existing code for similar events was less compatible than I hoped. Maybe tomorrow, sorry.

:( Doesn't seem to be fully working today ... can't sort by column, or filter using the Debug options?

Extension isn't working for me right now. =[

edit: found the problem, Madstats got flagged as adware and had bits of it removed/blocked during my last scan. Removed the extension from Chrome and re-added, now it works again. \o/

edit again: stopped working again. Wasn't my AV this time, so I have no clue what's up.

Also, I did something with my bored time that I would have otherwise used for number crunching:

Tried to install it on Firefox and Chrome, but ESET antivirus found it as threat. I've put it through anyway, but it doesn't work. No button to start it.

hi,

my madstats stopped working for my account as well. the "mech stats" part isn't working but the "weapon stats" still is. is there a limit how many mechs the add-on can handle?

tried with a friends account and he has just a few mechs -> working.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it still won't let me sort the Mech data by column :(

/sad panda. This extension was the best, most useful thing I found on the internet this year.
