Firefox version actually coming soonish. I can at least confirm that it all seems to be working now, but I plan to do more testing and making some more changes before fully releasing both versions. (potentially Opera too)

I'm also toying with some other ideas for new features, but they are mostly centered around the leaderboard. We'll see how it all pans out.

For now, you can test it out in Firefox (haven't tested Opera yet) by going to "about:debugging" and loading the unzipped manifest.json from http://madstats.is-g...tats.2.0.50.zip as a temporary addon. Technically, you can load it into chrome too, via "chrome://extensions/" as an unpacked extension. Might need to enable developer mode. It will throw a warning for the FF mandatory 'applications' key, but it should still work fine. (You can remove it from the manifest if you want.) It's mostly just a couple minor data updates and some changes to get it working with both browsers.

It's only slightly different than the current Chrome version. Both have an update coming pretty soon too, but I want to get a couple more things in it before finishing the update. I'm going to keep focusing the work on Firefox for a while longer until I get it ready to be published properly.

Feature suggestions, criticisms, and other ideas are particularly welcome in the meantime.
Work in FF for you? Opera by chance?
Any issues with data updating? (That was where a lot of the conversion work went.)

yay!

unfortunately the click link above is wrong, but if you cut and paste the link text it works

also even though i'm an experienced computer user i'm having trouble with the above instructions. the only 'about' in the menu is 'about firefox' and there's no debugging option there. i tried to import it to my bookmarks (since it's a .json) but it says it will overwrite all my current bookmarks. i tried to add it with the add-on manager but it doesn't work that way

help?

That figures, I had 3 links but only 1 registered properly, and it was the one I changed half way though and broke. That's what I get for posting it at the end of an all nighter. Posted Image

"About:debugging" goes in the address bar, the chrome link is the normal extensions link from the tools menu. Updated the other link too.

Sorry for the delay. Good catch!

Sorry, I had some urgent family stuff came up and I didn't have time to get back to this since last time.

I know that I don't have to report here like it's a job. It just keeps me somewhat on track and I can look back to estimate how much time I've put in and on which aspects along the way.

I'm honestly disappointed with how much I've been able to do with it, never enough time, but occasionally lack of interest too. I'm not a librarian anymore, so I am not coding while working a slow paced job at a PC. I just squeeze it in when convenient.

Spoiler

Updated the FF version. It is currently listed here: https://addons.mozil...addon/madstats/ but you might not be able to install it yet. Still pending review. ( going to about:config, searching for and disabling "xpinstall.signatures.required" seems to be working. ) (not recommended for the long term though, as it is a security feature.) That should at least allow it to persist beyond the temporary addon loading listed above.

Making good progress on MadStats 3.0. Also, opera does seem to work.

Any performance issues? Seem slower?

So this is incredibly awesome. All these years, I've been exporting to Excel to do all these calculations...

The firefox version still isn't up on their site

Just a little update, I've been using crome for a while since Firefox wouldn't recognise my ISP log in details

Just wanted to drop by to thank you MadLibrarian for this excellent add on. I have a Chrome version just to be able to use it. Looking forward for a working FF version again.

Btw, we used to be able to use logical operators in the rows, for example I could use >50 in matches row to filter out all mechs with less than 50 matches. What happened to that feature?

Thanks for the plugin. It's great. Thanks for implementing the functionality PGI should have added in the first place.
Would appreciate the FF version as well. Running Chrome just for MadStats is not very memory-efficient :)

Very nice, just installed in Opera, it even shows the data I wanted to see directly, which is average damage done. I thought it would only sort existing data.

You need to first install an extension to be able to install chrome extensions.

Sorry everyone, I feel bad. I haven't been playing the game or working on this in a long while. Accidentally opened chrome and figured why not check the dashboard, lo and behold there are still 1000+ weekly users. So now I feel even worse for not continuing to update it.

I doubt I'll ever finish the Firefox version, because my drive died shortly after my latest post. I lost the latest iterations of that version, but I can still download the latest chrome code and update it for new heroes and fix new bugs. I don't know when I'll have another update, but it probably won't be too far off.

Sorry again. :/

EDIT: Admittedly, I didn't try too hard to find it, but I just found a copy of the 3.0 version that isn't too far from where I was before I quit. All hope is not lost, but it still isn't very likely that I will get that done. Just wanted to let you know.
