Is It Time To Remove Ac2 Heatscale Already?

And with the quirks implemented in the last patch, certain mechs can fire other autocannons at similar rate, but do not suffer from ghost heat either.
AC2 has already been the least useful autocannon because of it's high weight-damage ratio and poor heat-damage ratio.
Ghost heat makes this already underpowered weapon almost completely useless.

Or
Doesn't make sense to introduce that many screenshaking weapons after nerfing one for doing it.
However you want to look at it.

You pay an incredibly high price in tonnage and heat (without ghost penalty) to run ac2's to get slightly more dps than the heat neutral ac5's.
The penalty doesn't need to be removed completely, but set higher say at 4 and with a lower penalty multiplier because if you mis-stagger them you can explode before you realize what happened lol

If they thought AC2s needed a nerf, they could have reduced recycle or something (as they ended up doing anyway.) It just doesn't make sense to me that weapons like LRM5, AC2, SRM2, or SSRM2 would have a heatscale. That just doesn't address balance issues that those weapons may have.

Ironically using macro most of the times seem to bypass ghost heat..

It's a funny story, one that comes from the Low-newby-elo scores, it seems if you stand still to shoot the other guy can kill you very quick with several ac2 even if his aim is not very good, and as you stand still and torso twist is not a thing, it's hard to fire back, as the fire rate and heat was fast and sustainable ... people died to it.... I know .... wierd X) .

But I don't like many things about ghost heat and would prefer a new system entirely.
