Not sure about the Naga being viable for that list. The Naga is the black sheep of clan Omnimechs. Its pod space is surpassed by many Clan lights, because in addition to its massive engine, the twin Arrow IVs are fixed equipment.

Yeah we can wipe Naga from any list I think. I honestly doubt Arrow IV will ever be in game. I mean no one wants an indirect fire weapon in game that grants one hit kill ability.

It's 20 damage, not that much.

Isn't it also split into groups of 5?

Most artillery is, in the TT version.

Except Arrow IV Homing and tube artillery Copperheads. They do hit location damage. Of course they also require a successful TAG designation roll to do any damage. Remember the Naga is also a passive area denial monster when using Field Artillery Scatterable Mines (FASCAM) which are 30 point minefields.

Cannot make a viable Capellan pack at this time for want of a light 'Mech. :(

Actually the IIC pack would be amazing. Just make them clan tech variants of the normals. Less complicated. And wholy awesome.

Who wants to duel my HBK-IiC? taking all comers ;-)

Or they could invent new variants for all of them... what can I say, with the Enforcer 4P, the cat is out of the box.

Someone knows when the Phoenix pack sale ended? Because the last Clan Wave 1 mech will be available for C-Bills soon, so I guess the pack sale is almost at end.

And I hope they start selling the Clan Wave 3 already (even knowing these mechs will be delivered at least 5 months from now), because I would love to see the art of the new mechs.

I guess keep 3 packs active at a time would be reasonable.

@ Odanan...

How about a "Relics" or "Ancients" pack?

Light-?
Medium-?
Heavy-Guillotine
Assault-Mackie

That would be interesting.

Why not the Hammerhands instead of the Guillotine (which is mostly identical to the Grasshopper)?

My suggestion for the Relics Pack:

Light: Thorn and Kyudo (or Firebee);
Medium: Vulcan and Dervish;
Heavy: BattleAx and Hammerhands;
Assault: Emperor (or Striker) and Mackie.

If they were smart, they would keep them up indefinately. This would allow new players getting into the game to buy those packs and make them more money.

Hmm... I don't know... the "limited offer" system might sell more. Besides, after all mechs are released for C-Bills, the hype will fade away.

So... the Warhawk gets released for C-Bills this November, 25. I suppose the first Clan pack offer will end sometime in December. (and I hope the next pack is revealed)

I will analyse each of the next Clan pack contenders. First, probably the best light omnimech the Clans we will ever have:

Arctic Cheetah (IS name: Hankyu)

Posted Image
30 tons
129 km/h (without speed tweak)
6 Jump Jets
XL Engine, Endo Steel, Ferro Fibrous, ECM capable
Free weight after max armor: 8 tons.

------------
Prime

RA 1e, 1m
RT 1e
CT
H
LT 1e, ECM
LA 1e, 1m

------------
Config. A

RA 1e, 1m
RT
CT
H
LT
LA 1e, 1m

------------
Config. B

RA 1b, 1e
RT
CT
H
LT
LA 2e

------------
Config. C

RA 2e
RT 1e
CT
H
LT 2e
LA 2e

The omni configurations to be included in the game must be: Prime, B and C (there is no point in adding the A), which will make possible to use all energy build (7e or 6e + ECM), energy with 1 ballistic (5e, 1b + ECM) or energy with 2 missiles (4e, 2m + ECM): that's an excellent firepower.

The mech also uses FF and ES, which gives it extra weight for loadout, has weapon hardpoint in the side torsos and can use ECM at the expense of only 1 energy hardpoint.

Great mech! I'm looking forward for it.

The B is worthless, next to the A and C. What ballistic could it mount, outside of an MG?

But PGI would choose the B for some reason.

I hope one day they will make the Fire Moth technically possible... A mech running at speeds above 200 km/h will be something amazing.

B is worthless, but they need 3 variants (configurations)... at least someone can play with an UAC/2 (or even a single machinegun)...

I wanted to give myself the Clan Wave III for X-Mas... Come on, PGI, isn't it time to call off the Clan Wave 1?

Continuing the analysis of the next Clan omnimechs to be released:

Viper (IS name: Dragonfly)
Posted Image
40 tons
Endo Steel, Ferro Fibrous, 8 jumpjets, 129.6 km/h

-------
Primary

RA 2e
RT 2b
CT
H
LT 1ams
LA 1m

-------
Alt A

RA 1e
RT 2e
CT
H
LT 2e
LA 1m

-------
Alt B

RA 1e
RT 1e
CT
H
LT 1e
LA 1e

-------
Alt C

RA 2e
RT 2b
CT 1e
H
LT 2b
LA 2e

-------
Alt D

RA 2e
RT 1m
CT
H
LT 1e
LA 1m

Omni configurations for the game: Prime, A (or D) and C.
Very mobile, great weapon hardpoints, this would become a perfect fast striking or dog fighting mech. 5x ER Medium Lasers + 4x machineguns or 9x Small Pulse Lasers = super Firestarter.
