I still struggle to comprehend why Battle Tech mechs have so many nipple and lower rib mounted weapons.
All 3 of those Energy and all 3 ballistics should be high mounted, that's my WTF.

- It has 4 ballistics on the left ST with 2 mounted low and 2 mounted high
- It has 3 energy on the right ST with 1 mounted low and 2 mounted high
Now logically, you would prioritize the higher hardpoints over the lower ones so that as you add weapons, the higher ones get filled first before the lower, but for some stupid reason it's the other way. This means that with the 3 AC5 build, you get 2 mounted low and 1 high (as you can see in the OP's pic) rather than an ideal 2 high, 1 low. Same goes for the right ST and it makes no sense. Because of this, I'll put a dummy sml on my right ST to take up the low hardpoint so my 2 LLs or 2 LPLs end up on the high ones. Before quirks I sometimes used to use 2 UAC5s where I would put 2 dummy mgs on so the UACs would be on the high mounts. Too bad you can't do it with the 3 AC5 build since it takes up all the crits on the ST.
Makes no sense.

Getting 2 LPL or 2 ERLL up high on the Banshee doesn't seem to be much problem, but PPC's could be.
Either way, I like having highpoint energy for the much more compact ERLL or medlas.
Just like any other energy hardpoint on most mechs, most have the same pod for all lasers, small/spl/med/mpulse/LL/ERLL/LPL, and then a unique one for PPC's.
And if all else fails, because.. reasons.
All sorts of funny things like that happen though.
Take this as example. HBK-4g
2 AC-5, one is gigantic, the other looks like a toothpick in comparison.
