Buffing LRMs to 2x their current damage WOULD make them OP and you'd see everyone boating them. Having in-game comms would be great but there are already several public teamspeak servers where players can group up and communicate if they wanted to. It isn't exactly a tough barrier to entry to download teamspeak and play with other people.

1. Obviously a balance between 1x and 2x damage can be found if indirect targeting can only track using TAG, NARC, or UAV. Otherwise the user has to have line of sight.

2. How are you going to get everyone on your team into the same teamspeak server, same channel, and divided by lances every single game, with only 1 minute before the match starts?

If LRMs only received indirect targeting through TAG/NARC/UAV that would be a good change. I think LRMs should be sped up slightly instead of buffing damage to make them more effective.

2.
You can join group queue with a team on teamspeak? Obviously it doesn't make sense to try to herd 11 people into a channel in solo queue.

I think your perspective is skewed toward the more serious crowd. What percentage of MWO players do you think spend more than an hour on the forum a week? Most players are not spending time here and will not take the time to hunt down TS servers just to get groups. All of us here who do have to understand that most do not.

The game is still beta in so many ways. No voice comms. Barely chat, hell you can't even scroll through chat to see what you missed. So a new player comes in, someone tels him hey bud welcome, go check out the forum or this TS server. Well good luck with the guy getting the message.

I believe you were crying about How LRM players own you and ruin your fun even though they can't aim or hit anything with Weapons besides LRM's and you base this off the fact that you always have plenty of time to spectate the play because you die so often in the first two minutes of a match.

MWO is a very team oriented game, if you can't be bothered to communicate with a team, please don't get upset and cry on the forums when you get owned by the enemy team.

LRMs are like sperm...there are ways to prevent pregnancy (getting hit/killed by LRMs) but they involve using condoms/diaphragms/etc (cover/ECM/AMS/etc) that people dont like using so they expose themselves by leaving cover (unprotected sex) and get killed (impregenated) by LRM fire (sperm).

Um, I thought this thread was about how there are too many threads discussing LRM balance. Why has it now become an thread about LRM balance? Okay, the OP might have put the issue more clearly, but c'mon.
